Hey, so thought I'd toss this one out to you guys. Since picking up the game, I've been heading up a recording session for the new Punch-Out!! for the Wii. The in-game Sound Test can potentially make this a convenient experience, but I still need to unlock the audio tracks by beating the respective opponents in Exhibition Mode. (Or, until someone finds a way to do a direct sound extract. Whichever comes first. ;) )

What's cool about the in-game Sound Test is that they integrate all three themes for each set (the main fight BGM, the "Opponent Downed" BGM, and the "Get Up!" BGM) into one piece. I have, however, decided to do the three separately, largely because I wanted to extend their time lengths. Right now, I've got the Minor, Major, and World Circuit Theme sets up. Check 'em out:

This was a tricky beast to edit, since the looping was cut intermittently short for all three parts. Anyway, this is a great set, but it doesn't quite compare to the pure rockin' awesomeness of the Major Circuit Theme. In fact, I would've been perfectly content if that particular set played throughout the entire game. :)

Oh, and for those who like their pieces "complete", I've also done up another edit for the Minor and Major Circuits, where I've rejoined their main match BGMs and the "Get Up!" themes together. (And as an alternative, there's one for the World Circuit now as well.) These classic songs really are so much fun to edit for. ^_~

Yeah, problem is I lack the proper equipment for ripping audio, and I lack the skill atm to beat popinski's challenges.

You experience worse in the game. I actually LOST to title defence glass joe. Even knowing that his difficulty got amped through the roof, that was probably one of the most embarrasing gaming moments of my life.

I'm liking Disco Kid's theme when you fight. Makes me want to boogie down baby.

to Dark Phazon Samus: Actually Title Defense Joe isn't that hard. Once you get some stars, pack a Star Punch at him and then afterwards give him some blows to the face but when his helmet goes gold, throw a body blow for a star and the process repeats. So basically, he's still the same French joke that he always is back in the Minor Circuit. I give Nintendo and Next Level Games some credit by adding Title Defense mode because they provide me one more reason to enjoy the game.

I got an idea on how to rip the music! Can you record video directly from the Wii to your computer? If so, record a video of the music playing, use any video editing program and take out the video, and render it as an mp3.

You must be talking about the Major Circuit Title Bout music. Go to my youtube channel. A link for the OST is there, and it has that track.

But I just replayed the game and the song is indeed different as it seems the guitars are a little more wilder and higher pitched. However, it is basically the major circuit song, just seems to be another rendition of it.

I agree. My favorite is the Major Circuit Title Bout theme. Intense and appropriate for when I fight the spanish buzzard Don Flamenco whether he has a Toupee or not.

Both of the Title Bout fights are in the rip. One is listed as MajorCircuitTitle Fight or something, and the other might just be TitleFight.

Hello everyone. I've gotten several goodies from around the forums here so I thought I'd share this here.

Near as I can tell all the available Punch-Out rips are straight up conversions of the raw streaming files or recordings from the gallery music. With the help of a friend who supplied me the full raw streaming files (saved me the trouble of ripping them myself) I have gone through and done proper editing, looping and fading for the ENTIRE soundtrack.

The final result is 155 tracks including as best as we could tell a few unused tracks that don't actually show up in game but were on the disc. The big bits concerning what may be "missing" or is just non-existant is as follows:

As near as we can tell from the data ripped from the game disc, the following tracks do not exist:

1. Head to Head Lose Match - this does not appear in the game itself that I could find
2. Head to Head Game Over - This does not appear in the game itself that I could find
3. Classic Game Over - This does not appear in the game nor disc itself that I could find, dispite classic remixes of both the win/lose game themes
4. Training Themes - These appear to only be from cinima audio and are mixed with bgm/voice
5. Boxer Intros - The intro themes for the boxers appear to only be in the videos with no music data on the disc by itself
6. Ending Cinima - Appears to only be available in the cinima mixed with bgm/voice
7. Donkey Kong Intro - Donkey Kong does not have an intro movie nor theme before the match

Unused tracks on game disc:

Classic Win Match - Is not used for any of the fights or modes that I could find
Classic lose Match - Is not used for any of the fights or modes that I could find
332384430.lwav - I can't find this track anywhere in game and no idea what it could have been used for "wii fit" section maybe?

TheRedPriest, you are a GOD for doing this rip. The full raw streaming files make a world of difference in terms of the audio quality, and is a vastly significant improvement over the previously available conversion set.

I know what you mean about the rough edges. I had my own share of headaches when trying to make a proper loop out of, say, Bear Hugger's Fight theme. You did an incredible job, though I'd expect nothing less from TheRedPriest. ;) Many, many thanks!
