I never got him/it. I think it comes from the huge materia you get on the train in Barret's home town.
You have to do something to avoid crashing the cart and it didn't work for me. I did what it said and it just would not work.
Anyway, the way I did it I crashed, and woke up in a tent, then when I spoke to someone about the materia they said that some men from Shinra came and took it. That was the last I ever heard of it. WTF!?

I can't find anything on the internet about it. Anyone else get this.

The encounter you are talking about involves beating all the enemies on top of the train in a certain amount of time including the last boss, and then pulling the break in order to stop the train safely. But I thought the materia you got as a reward from it was Alexander, so I'm not sure if you have the source correct or not.

To obtain Bahamut ZERO:

You had to have saved all the four huge materia, as well as having both Bahamut and Neo Bahamut. After you've got the Huge Materia go to Cosmo Canyon and talk to Bugenhagen, he'll hold them for you. Go upstairs in his device and examine the blue huge materia and you'll get it.

If you don't have the first two Bahamuts or you missed one of the huge materias, you can dig up Bahamut Zero from Bone Village.

The materia you get as a reward is Ultima. Alexander is located in the ice cavern later on in the game.

Aha, I didn't realise I could dig it up. Thanks.

It wouldn't let me pull the brake. I was just wondering because I can't find anything online about missing this huge materia.

Bahamut Zero, you get it from the space ship when u type in the code, u gotta get THAT huge materia. And hes right, it is ultima u get from the train.
i love that magic, ultima in 7 and 8 are the best magics, even apocalypse isnt that good in comparison.

Actually, Ultima in FFVII was pretty weak compared to other spells. The fact that the spell isn't even usable until the materia itself is levelled up once means you have to spend a lot of that time walking around with a useless rock equipped to you that saps your HP and strength (it requires a LOT of AP to level up as well), makes it even more a novelty than a useful spell.

One advantage of Ultima has though is the spell is classed as typeless damage (ie. non-elemental), so you don't have to worry about accidentally healing an enemy because it's the same element. It's still a massive MP sink either way.

But that is just my opinion.

Plus Shadow Flare does so much more damage.

lmao, i meant the whole fmv for ultima actually, not the power or damage amount of the magic itself lol
i know ultima is useless, hence why i prefered to just use omnislash and mime.
