I love this site, but there's one thing that really gets to me,
You see I have my preferences set so that i receive an e-mail upon receiving a reply to one of my posts however people have found it easier to just click reply on anyone's posts to post a message.

It's quite irritating i receive like 30 e-mails a day because of this crap and i don't want to be forced to change my settings because of it.

Maybe someone should sticky a thread about this, just to get the word out there so people use the appropriate way of adding a message to threads.

Whether you post a reply or a quick reply, you still get an email saying there has been a new message posted in a thread you're subscribed to.

I'm using quick reply to type this message now and you should receive your email shortly.

I don't think so, i mean some of the threads i return too have some where around 30 posts but i don't see 30 e-mails.

Plus it's not always the person right underneath me that i get from, it's usually from someone from the next page.

Do you think it could just be some kind of error?

That is because you are subscribed to the threads you recieve emails from, and not subscribed to threads you don't get emails from.
