Errr....okay mate, cool it down a tad. LOL!

This is no different then 10th annversary, reimagining, limited edition etc of any other movie released in the past what...20 years. It's a business, this is what they do, they make things and see if people will buy them. Not much needed beyond that.

There could be several reasons why they didn't release this movie like this originally, maybe they ran out of time? Maybe they weren't sure it was going to sell? Remember, FF:TSW? Hell, they wasted big bucks on that pile of fail...this is a small venture.

I've brought both versions and I'm going to buy this version too, I love the movie and if it's more of what you love then what's the harm. I could give two flying flips about the XIII demo at this point?

It's really not that bad...if you don't want it, cool...don't buy it. It's as simple as that and if you think Sony is the only company doing this then Microsoft (Halo Wars) and Nintendo (Wii and everything else) would LOVE to have a word with you. There is no *good* company out there...they all love to make money and use fans...

If they're going to screw fans at least they could at least give us something good out of it....kinda of like a reacharound.

What's worse is that you can tell they only asked Gerard Way to sing on it becuase he's popular. It would have been much better if they had asked someone who had some actual talent.

Yeah maybe they could have gotten someone like David Coverdale from Whitesnake or Roy Khan from Kamelot to do the singing.

Which I do not have nor do I wish to spend more on getting the same movie. Doesn't make sense. They SHOULD have release THIS version to begin with!! What a rip off!! Do you really need to ask that question?

The reason is because they didn't want to spend as much money making a film which could have bombed (like "The Spirits Within") so they didn't invest as much money into it. When it was released and the demand for it was as high as it was, they decided to invest more money into it and make it even better.

Any clues: anybody knows something about NEW OST for Advent Children Complete? There's a lot of revisited tracks!

I'm interested in the revised tracks as well!

On the note of what Squenix did, along with Sony. It's not THAT bad. At least this is just a type of optical media. Think about all those people who bought Lamborghini Gallardos, only to find out that they made the LP560-4, not 3 years after the original.

Or the Ferrari F430, who subsequently released the F430 Scuderia 4 years later.

It happens. But, I think the extra scenes (and the remade stuff, like de-grunging the entire movie as well as showing more details, like the dirt on Tifa's face after her fight) make it worth it.

On *another* note, thank GOD they finally fixed Cid's entrance in the Bahamut SIN fight. The first one was ridiculous and made no sensical sensibility whatsoever.

Are you not reading other peoples posts? The reason is purely budget. They didn't want to invest too much money into a film which could have bombed and lost them money (like The Spirits Within did). When the film was released, the reaction to it was much bigger than they expected, so they decided to invest some more money and make the film even better.
