its nintendo, and if the masses (ie, rage mails, magazine rants, etc etc) keep the game's interes floating in the US, it will be certainly ported over.
i mean, its no secret endless blue (or whatever its called) got ported top the US becuase a bunch of fnas sent rage mails to them.
i thought nintendo learned its lesson regarding mistakes when they went with phillips instead of sony for the production of the unmade CD-based add-on for the snes, which in turn ended up being the PSX.

Fatal Frame is not just "another horror game".

Fatal Frame 2 is on par with the likes of SH2.

I would say it's more like a different KIND feeling.

While FF2 is more on the spookiness of the experience, SH(2) is more on teh creepiness of the experiance.

Both great kinds of games but,to me, it's a different type.

While SH2 is more about feeling like the town is out to get you and the player never sure if the bang is really a bang,
FF2 is more about being the only living thing around and having to make sure you saw what you saw...that whole 'blink and you may have missed it' kind of a feeling.

I get scared more playing FF than SH. But I've always got scared of ghosts more than monsters! Especially the Japanese ones! And the Japanese children ghosts don't help and neither do the ones with their hair over their faces...

I agree, in that I always describe SH as creepy, as a series. Not scary.

Not sure why Nintendo would decline this. It's not the first Mature game to be on the Wii (RE4, the zombie killing game in the mall [can't remember the name of it], that new House of the Dead game, and a slated future release of Silent Hill).

Actually, that "mistake" pretty much saved them from getting devoured by Sony. They traded a few years of 2nd and 3rd place for their own independence and now are back to demolishing everybody else.

Nintendo may not always do what some people want them to do, but I would say that judging by their absolutely staggering financial success they make very few mistakes when it comes to getting filthy rich.

If they keep things up I hope they get devoured again by Sony, or Microsoft, that way at least we'll stop seeing the number 1 selling console getting nothing but shovelware and shitty kiddy minigames. "Stupidest" how? If you define stupidest as "most unlike what Glitch wants" then sure, I guess.

However you seem to be forgetting that Nintendo is a giant capitalist monstrosity just like every other company making a major video game console, and they are interested in making money. Do you sincerely believe that if they really felt they had an opportunity to sell a lot of copies of Fatal Frame they would decide not to release it here? Obviously they would since their goal is to make money!

Why should they give you any "excuse" at all? They don't have any reason to. You are not someone Nintendo is required to answer to, you are some person screaming on a message board. If they don't feel it would be profitable to release the game here, they have need of no other reason. They are not required to give you explanations of every little thing they do.

Download some emulators, play better games than anything else that's been released in the past 10 years, and chill.
