Its rumord that I can get Cloud Strife in this game. Is it true? What is the best way to defeat Wiegrith(sp?) when he's a Holy Knight?

yes you can get Cloud as permanent character.

yes its a hardass battle
speed is key to win most of the battles
what is recommended is to have ramza with Auto Potion (eliminate potions and hi potions), best mantle so far, and lots of HP.
Job? any fast one, such as: Monk, ninja, or thief.
try to get Move + 2 (Thief move abl)
and maybe Concentrate (Archer abl)
but not only that. you'll need a strong character that can deal 100 per hit, or somewhere around. Monks are most likely the way to go, but they cant wear armor since you'll equip Concentrate

in any case
if you feel confident of your actual Ramza, go equip Attack Up instead of Concentrate. A killer when it comes to attacking, but the chances will be low.

As for Wiegraf, yeah, Saitoh's advice is pretty good. :)
If you're fighting him at Riovanes, though, jut equip a Chameleon Robe; you'll fake Wieggy into thinking you can absorb his swordskills (they're supposed to be holy elemental), so all he will use is Wave Fist and Earth Slash.

<FONT SIZE="2" COLOR="#113399" FACE="mirror">One stratigy is to use him as a squire. give him two swords and auto potion, or hp restore (dosent work as often) then have him with as much movement as possable, then yell and yell and yell and accumulate and accumulate and on and on. do this a hella lot of times then go over and hit him. you should hit him once for 999 kill him and then get 999 damage done to him in his evil form. anouther hit and hes gone. just keep away from him and only have hi or x potions.</FONT>

You can also use a meatbone slash on him, but make sure you have a chameleon robe on so he won't use lightning stab. Also, be sure you have a high brave so it will work more often.

when I fight him I just put the mp-switch ability on ramza and give him punch art. This way when wiegraf attacks it takes away your mp instead of hp and then when your mp runs out you can use chakra to get it all back.

You can also just walk away from wiegraf for a few turns. Sometimes He'll turn away from you leaving his back side open for an attack. It's really good to get him in the back with a lancer's spear.

yes you can get the character Cloud Strife, he gains a lot of leves at one time, he gains 99EXP as soon as you get him in one battle, but he is Level 01.

When Ramza and Wiegraf duels it out, have Ramza equip a Chameleon Robe and a good shield. Feather Boots are great! Wiegraf will have to use a Wave Fist, because Chameleon Robes cancel his Holy Sword skills (the computer thinks that they are Holy elemental) and since you have the Feather Boots, Earth Slash does nothing. If you even poached a Taiju and got a Defender, extremely great! Now, for the second part, I suggest you have Lich. Lich will do about 470-500 of Velius. If you have a ninja with Germinas Boots and is able to move next to Velius, use two ninja swords to attack him. I got a typo!

Best way to do it is just make Ramza a Lancer and use Jump. You might get hit once but thats it...with Auto Potion you will restore 70hp(the battle before that gave you a damn Hi-Potion just to piss you off). Its not problem at all.
