To start with I must say that, like the Angela Aki and Aoi Teshima threads (see sig) I created with Japanese pop that is better than the usual pop, Kokia is one of those awesome singers. She has such a fantastic beautiful voice and deserves to be heard by all. I have to mention that if you like these albums I highly suggest that you buy them to support her. Kokia is still fairly unknown so she can use all the support. The albums from Aigakikoeru down are 320kbps rips from my own cds!!

At first I didn't want to download this because it looked like "another best of album" and then I figured what the heck, it will at least combine all the singles that didn't make it onto albums into a convenient package. Then I listened to it and I instantly realized that this had been remastered and all the previously clipped tracks such as Fate, Karma, Transparent, and a few others are now slightly reduced in sound so they have no distortion! Probably because Follow the nightingale was a bonus track in European edition of The Voice. But IMO, it is too good to be just a bonus track ;) One of my fav songs along with Harmony (Chouwa oto) and Ai no Rinkaku. btw In Follow the Nightingale lyrics are sung backwards: ATTAMIJAHAHIRA TAGONOMARAKIKOTA :))) hehe Gotta love those easter eggs :D


OK, so everywhere I go. They ALWAYS suggest that the chorus of ToI's OP song, Follow the Nightingale, is reversed japanese. I tried figuring it out... Maybe KOKIA fans might know better though?

Yeah the reason I generally do not like best of albums is they don't always put the songs I like on there.
I recently found 8 albums of Kyosuke Himuro at a used cd shop for 3$ a piece so I may create a thread of his stuff sometime in the future. Of course Kokia, angela aki, and aoi teshima are so awesome that nobody sells their albums to used cd shops so I couldn't find any of those i didn't have.

I just found a FLAC version online of the other new album. I will upload FLAC and 320kbps mp3s of that one and update the original post soon.

I got most of her albums after hearing one song in a Tales of (one of the DS games) trailer and searching for discography. I found a collection that was terrible quality so I had to go get the albums (thankfully it was around Christmas and I could ask for them all). Then I made sure to keep an eye out for her other work and order her main albums (The VOICE, Kokia Infinity Akiko). Her music is so wonderful!

Because I use iTunes to organize my library; sporting 38xx songs, it's quite the feat to have it as organized as it is. I'd leave them in FLAC if I could, but well, we can't have everything ;)

I can't really help you seed (if that was what you were suggesting) because it doesn't seem as if the files you linked are 100% the same as the ones I posted. Any slight change in tagging or naming of files will prevent torrent software from recognizing them as the same.

I doubt they're the same. Mainly, they've been renamed by iTunes to match its way to name the files. The FLAC ones have been reencoded, and some of the MP3 files are from another website. You can try and see if they match, if you feel like, but I cannot guarantee they'll match.

I mainly posted it here to spread it and help the torrent reach a pair more of seeds (uploading 2.8 GB @ 25 KB/s is a pain :P), and to share it with the fans.

might sound pointless to say but Kokia is the technically most gifted singer in Japan, at least on the female side of singers they have, she is probably the most advanced in technique. I'd love to see some collab works between her and Akiko Shikata. Would be interesting.

IMO, Kokia is one of most gifted and technically trained singer in Japan. (she majored in vocal music) Though her voice sometimes goes harsh partly due to her age (especially at high notes) but nevertheless, truly amazing music!

Suga Shikao's Yakusoku from the second half of the second season was fantastic, but I have that in flac. I was wondering if you could post the Nocturne soundtrack again though since the old link is long dead? I haven't gone to re-upload any singles just yet so for now this should cover the majority of the music. If you determine there is something in a single you think is not represented in any of the albums or best-of compilations please let me know :)
