Alright, i just got done with the trap doors part, and im supposed to leave and the rest of the party is supposed to say amarant hasnt come back yet. I was looking at the cheatcc.com walkthrough and it said this:

Then, just continue and save when you see it. After saving, go to the west
and youll be back at the first room here at Ipsens Castle. Now, youll
notice that a ladder appeared at the north in the center and just to the left
beside the door to the moogle. Go up the new stairs.

On top of a new place, go to the center and use the lift and itll take you
down. Below, get the chest for the Golems Flute. Now, youll see a big
sword-like thing here.

Alright, im in the first room in the castle, where you first got the dagger and i see that there are stairs now and all, but where is this STUPID LIFT???

Is this guide wrong? or am i supposed to find this lift when im looking for amarant? I want to find out because i want to get the items ancient aroma, golem's flute, and the air racket.

And one more thing, what does the ancient aroma do, i forgot :D

Anyways, please help me out, i promise i wont make any stupid threads or nothing :D

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">Ok...

In the first screen, there should now be some steps on the left-hand side. Go up there and get everything you can from there, then come back into the screen where you got the Dagger.

Now go right to the screen where the moogle is. Go to the pole you climbed down to get into the castle, but now you will also be able to go up. Climb up the pole and follow the path round from where you get to. After a couple of screens you will find that lift you are looking for.

When in the room with the sword, you will notice there are three stands and two pots. Move both of the pots anti-clockwise 3 times, and you should get the Ancient Aroma. If you don't get it then, just keep moving the pots anti-clockwise until you get it.

The Ancient Aroma teaches Garnet/Dagger the Odin's Sword ability. If you equip that, whenever you summon Odin from then on, if he doesn't kill an enemy with his instant death attack, he will cause them damage instead. (I think this damage is wind elemental).
