Yeah, that one's really good. I also love both day and night versions of "Spagonia" and the day theme to "Empire City" hits a sweet spot as well.

For a Sonic soundtrack, this one really impressed me. Usually it's a bunch of rock based themes, but this one went all out!

DXAshram, If you did upload in [EAC] lossless, I'd be more then happy to download that lossless version of the soundtrack (keep it for myself), decode and encode it into very high quality mp3s using the LAME encoder with V0 settings (practically identical to the quality of the CD) and send you the link(s) so that you can mirror it alongside the lossless version. LOL, that's probably still not incentive enough for you is it. :laugh:

I ordered it from Play-Aisa, but they have yet to ship. I am ripping it as ALAC, AIFF, and direct ISO. Just wait for me and it will all be alright.

Hmm. I so wish you had VirtualPC or, better yet, a Windows platform, then you would be able to use Exact Audio Copy. :( As I've been learning from many people that have been around lossless for a long time, there's more involved when ripping in lossless then just making the audio files, really, these files should be accompanied by a CUE sheet (for reconstructing the original layout of the disc) and a log file (for inspecting the rip for any errors. Example: improper offset correction, mismatched CRC values, .ect).

I'm not attacking you in any way, I really do appreciate the effort you put into ripping you albums in lossless and sharing it with us. It's just that, according to what I've learned and the facts presented by the "lossless community", there's little use for lossless if the original disc can't be reconstructed.

I'm not sure if it will help you very much but I have posted a new tutorial (link (http://www.soniconthenet.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2656&p=21211#p21211)). If by someway you are able ti install VirtualPC for your MAC, or, borrow a copy of Windows XP, the tutorial will show you exact what all settings need to be made for creating a perfect, 1:1 copy of that Sonic CD. Oh well, guess things are the way they are. :cool:

Sorry to necro this over-a-month-old thread, but I felt I should give a reply.

Again, I still have no intention of ripping something in EAC or FLAC. I rip these albums so that people can actively listen to them, not so that they can take up space (Nearly 30MB per song? No thanks) in an archive. I would think that an MP3 at 320kbps is high enough quality for the masses, who I rip music for. I hate to be blunt, but if you're honestly intent on making an EAC rip of this album, then please buy the album yourself.

Also, to those of you who enjoyed this album, you're very much welcome. I've already preordered the two Sonic and the Black Knight albums and will be getting them when they come out in a little over two weeks.

It's because Sonic World Adventure is the Japanese name of Sonic Unleashed and the soundtracks are almost always based on the Japanese version of the game.
