For me it would be Counter+Mime, can be REALLY confusing, but REALLY handy in fights. Because once you've done that the computer basically take over the fight for you.

Yeah I used that combo ass well. The effects r weird but is 1 of the best materia combo's in the game.

Added Effect + Odin = instant death. Saving throw vs. Death Magic at -3.

Added Effect + Hades = HILARITY! Poison, confusion, mini, and sometimes even toad. Fun to do on creatures, then laugh at the spinning midgets. Silly spinning midgets.

Elemental + Alexander gives you a Holy-enchanted weapon. There is almost no use for this. I'm serious. There are almost no enemies in the game weak to Holy. None that I seem to come across, anyway =/ Well, the undead, yeah :D

Probably. Assuming it hits. I suppose I'd try it except there really isn't that much undead in FFVII anyway and most of the undead that there are suck.

Of course, nobody's mentioned the most talked about materia pair: Final Attack/Phoenix. Of course, that's not very weird.

If Elemental + Kjata worked I would definately use it. As it causes Fire, Ice and Lightning (it looks like it should cause Earth aswell from the summon animation but it doesn't say it does) then I would definately use that on armour, so I could absorb all three elements. ;) However, it doesn't work like that. Also, putting it on elemental attack would be bad, if the enemy you're fighting absorbed any one of those three elements it would absorb the attack, even if it was weak against another of them.

Other weird combinations... hmm... does Added Cut + Double Cut work? :D I'd guess not, but if it did you'd get 8 attacks in a row... ;)

As you can tell, I didn't really try out many different materia combinations myself. ;)

And what if u linked added effedt+KOTR or elemental+KOTR u c the knight use about every kind of magic there is so would u become invinceble or something??

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">KOTR's attacks don't seem to be elemental. Even though one attack may look like an ice attack, another like fire etc, I'm sure all of the attacks cause non-elemental damage. So that wouldn't work anyway. ;)

What if you were to have W-Summon/W-Magic and Quadra Magic? Does that mean you would attack eight consecutive times with Bahamut ZERO or Ultima?

That cannot be paired with Quadra Magic for the simple reason that it would be far too powerful. But I do remember setting Bahamut ZERO to summon 8 times before. Damn, that took a long time to animate. :D

So the same goes for the Bahamut summons with elemantal?? If u add elemental to hades u very much like have a ribbon.

I currently have Yuffie with Quadra Magic paired to Ultima and W-Magic in another slot. That is a very good one. Doesn't take very long to cast, but does lots of damage.

Here's my guess: whenever an enemy attacks you, you automatically use whatever attack one of your characters used last. At least, that's what makes sense to me. I'd have to try it out to be sure.

Yeah, the thing that makes it compicated it the mime part.
So say youv'e got Cloud with Counter+Mime, and youv'e got Cid with Bahamut ZERO and quadra magic.
Cid does Bahamut ZERO x4, then Cloud gets hit afterwards then counters with Bahmut ZERO x4 then gets hit again after that, and repeats it all.

VERY complicated, but does a nice decent job of the enemy.

I've discovered that Sneak Attack + Morph is a very nice combo for morphing Source items in the Crashed Gelnika and other places. Just equip the combo and get into the battle and you don't even have to worry about waiting to attack. Your character(s) will attack automatically.
