Actually, I've thought since I was a wee lass that Squall was pretty hot for a bunch of 1s and 0s. However, I think that these days, I've outgrown his emo/anti-social "charm."

Zilch. Zell meant more to me, even Xu meant more to me. Squall's basically a genetically-altered clone of Cloud Strife anyway, not too much in the personality dept. I also think it's lame how he refers to himself as "Leon" in the KH series :rolleyes:

Seifer's Hyperion was more sleek imo than Squall's revolver...

But the blade curved out, not as aesthetically pleasing, imo.

anyhow Lighting got one too and i personally think she is way cooler then Squall and Seifer together < this is only my opinion

im currently playing FFVII (almost finish with all sidequest and everything ) on my PS3 and FF Tactics (on my emulator at work :-D ) Im about to play FFVIII after this on the emulator i got to say is a scary thought of going through the draw system again but i just love the graphic of this game

There is something I really like about Squall. He hasn't been anti-social emo git through the whole game. Step by step he has grown out of his emo-self to a real man. He realized how important it is to protect those around him.
I think, he's a good commander as well.

That's what his name is in the Japanese version of FFVIII; Leon Squall. Either way, it's not that big of a deal now is it?

Personally Squall is one of my fav chars in the whole ff series :P

Squall Lionheart limit is pretty much another version of Cloud Strife's Omni-slash. And I honestly feel that other characters from FF8 were more interesting than Squall.

Squall's inner monologue develops him into one of the most complex Final Fantasy characters. What he thinks and what he does or says are usually opposites; he represents himself with false personas, like everyone does. The fact that you can read his thoughts only makes him more relatable. You can also control the outcome of ethical situations, like choosing to save someone or not. While it doesn't have much of an impact on the game, controlling his decisions make him an even deeper character.

He's extroverted while being inept at social situations, just like Laguna.

Squall is the best character in FF8, and one of the best in the series.

Considering he's an adult now (not a teenager like in FFVIII) and he outgrew his "lone-wolf" phase in FFVIII, then the costume suits him perfectly then. Now I don't agree that it makes him look more easy-going, but I'm using what you think of it as the basis of this post.

Only good thing in KH imo, was the fact that David Boreanaz (from Joss Whedon's Buffy and Angel series) provided the voice for him.

I prefer his voice over the other one. When the other talks, sometimes, it sounds like his nose is clogged.

Squall is badass. You see his transformation in the entirety of the game which was cool to me. Plus dude walks around with a gunblade, who would want to f*ck with that

Squall is a badass definatley, everyone has already said it, he's got the gunblade, a cool style, and a nice reserved personality, but you know when shit goes down he'll turn it up, maybe the best lead character in all the FFs.(I havent played through all of them so I can't say)

favorite scene for squall...is when he is talking to Irvine about the Shot. shows what a great leader he is, not to mention, his badassery when he jumps off that lift and charges the sorceress in a car.
