Did they ever release a part 2 to this anime? I remember watching it years ago and remember that it never ended properly.

I think you're talking about Jubei Ninpuncho or whatever its called. I can't say whether that's a sequel to the original movie or whatever. All i know is that no jubei anime is tied with Makai Tenshou. Too damn graphic.

Ahh I see, all I seem to remember of this anime is that it was in 2 parts, my memories are pretty vague haven't seen it for like 10 or so years, but I think the first part is that the hero fights a giant dragon in a battleground/castle and second part was quite graphic, with rape/torture scenes etc, Not sure if I'm getting mixed up with something else though.

Ninja resurection is not a sequel of ninja scrool. it is 2 ovas, and they wanted to make a tv series, but a lot of people thought this was somenthing about ninja scrool, so ninja resurection did not had its deserved success.
the main character is called jubei, but this was never made to be related to ninja scrool, still, many people think it has but it's wrong.
it's just a new anime made by someone that was enjoying creating it. :P

Amazing! I saw the OST on BakaBT, but luckily I was patient and got it here. And even better in FLAC!
