Anyone know what sort of music is on these soundtracks? Is it atmospheric noise like Boogiepop Phantom / GiTS, or is it more melodic, with any piano pieces or acoustic guitars? (or anything in between!)

Basically, I really like the english dub version of "Ai ga Oshiete Kureta" (which I don't have), but that alone isn't enough to request a re-up!

Dont remeber right now but it's "atmosferic noise like"

Awww, I really wanted the English versions to the song, but your links are dead. I am sad now. Was hoping I would be able to obtain it. =(

Galbadia Hotel has them all so once the current request for donations is over you will be able to get them then. =)

Still, these OSTs aren't my cup of tea, I don't really go for Haishima's signature "random noise" material, and Blue Gender is full of that stuff.

Oh my god, I just got the ending song. Thanks a lot! ^^ But too bad they didn't fully dub the entire song?

Reason, from the 3rd OST is the only song I have, and is also among my first 20 songs of my anime/otaku fandom EVER. Please let me discover the rest of the OST.

When I watched this show several years back I couldn't help but being irritated by the main character guy. The presentation and story were not that bad, also it was quite mature at the times. The animation was pretty cheap and uninspired, except for the Opening, the 1st and the last two episodes, those really stood out.

And finally the soundtrack. Absolutely awesome. Heavy. No bullshit stuff. Kuniaki Haishima was behind it and he's got the goods.

. . .

Also they are out of print and are expensive as hell to buy from the auction places. If only I could find them in lossless...

Kuniaki Haishima is one of my favorites. The thing is, that most people don't know his "signature" and think that he is always very repetitive. :/
I differ on that. I wish I had Run=Dim animation soundtrack.
Gasaraki was the first think I watched with his soundtrack. It is absolutelly awsome. The soundtracks itself are great with new compositions that do not appear on the series. I have gasaraki in tapes, and I re saw it on porpouse to see were my favorite track is, and you if you do same has me you will see that the tracks that appear on the anime are enough for a little CD soundtrack only. He composed a lot to make 2 soundtracks. Like IMANGE ALBUM ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK. all in one. Beautifful indeed.

My NEO RANGA ost 2 is one of my best buys. It has ALL my favorite tracks on it. I could care less for the other soundtracks :P althought I want themn also. But this cd is so much more special to me. :)

I can help you out with Run=Dim. I was just buying several things from amazon.co.jp including music CDs, and well since Kuniaki Haishima is one of my favorites too, I added that soundtrack to the order.
Plus I like collecting rare stuff :P

When it comes in mail, I'll upload it here in lossless + cue + log.

wow. SO much thanks my friend :D

Can wait for it. I never got my hands or saw it on sale anywhere before, when I was searching for rare things I wanted the most. The real big problme is, almost the things I want the most are super rare. :/

Rare huh, yeah thats the beauty of it. Some of my all-time-number-1-favorite soundtracks turned out to be very hard to find and extremely rare, some of them were never even released, which actually made me learn how to do the game rips and eventually led to this place :P

I really like the style and direction of Kuniaki Haishima's work, and honestly to hear that most people think he is repetitive is kind of ridiculous.

He creates a unique blend of urban and tribal music elements.
And is also excellent at creating suspense, mystery, tension atmosphere.

He did original scores for films, animated series, games... and I am currently in the process of collecting most (if not all) of his albums in CDs and lossless rips formats.
Unfortunately the recent example of "Run=Dim" is not an exception from the list, and a lot of the stuff that he did is really hard to come by.

Here's the website, and in the column 'Releases' we can see his discography.

I'll re-upload it in the next couple of days.

I lost some respect for the score when I realized that "Proto Star" plagiarizes VAST outright and "Dead Tech" does the same to Slayer. Not going to argue Haishima's taste in metal bands but seriously man.

link for OST 3 Part 1 is still not working... OST 2 and OST 3 Part 2 works fine though.

I would say the music is a mix of macabre, orchestral, pop & ethereal. I fucking love the shit out of them. I love the music as much as I loved the movies. I seen Blue Gender Warrior first then the series version, I'm glad I seen them in that order tool. Blue Gender right now is my favorite anime, which runs close to the level of favordom I have for Fist of the North Star Legends of the Dark King, Akira, Fist of the North Star , Vampire Hunter D 1&2, Ghost in the Shell, and such.

Thank you very much for these. I'm so sad they didn't make full versions of the English songs "Set Me Free" and "Love Taught Me" (as far as I know, they didn't do that at least) because they are awesome!! Thanks again :)
