Thanks a lot for this!

I wish they would give FF7 a go. I heard a sample of retouched MIDI's from someone on this site, and it was so greatly improved it was wondrous. If only...

@Arrete FF7 PC is a mixed bag, they actually have 5 different midi versions packed within the PC game, which I guess is generated via your best sound card? Not sure why the mess...but the XM is probably the best and really only sounds good when compiled on the Yamaha Hardware Synth (not the PC software).

We'd remaster FF7 if we could get HQ sources compiled on the right hardware...As for the PSX version as far as I recall it sounded OK.

@DavCube this is just the remastered CD, nothing different...just compare the sound to the original and you'll hear a differnce..weather it is better is an opinion ;) The sound is so warm b/c that CD was analog mastered back in '88.

About my post the other day: I've found the rest of the albums into your ThePirateBay profile, except the FINAL FANTASY IV related one. I'm interested on that one, any way to get it?

Thanks for All Sounds of Final Fantasy I & II Remastered! The Original had HORRIBLE audio and twas obvious if you were listening with just speakers or headphones. I LOVE both FF I & II's music and it's great to hear it without the sound being fudged up. I'll host this album in my compilation thread.

For some reason part 1 got deleted from my MediaFire account. It's been so long I don't have the files on my HDD anymore but the torrent still works. Sometimes PirateBay has connection problems but give it time (keep trying). I'll also grab the torrent and re-upload to MediaFire.

While the one is not technically a "Remaster" (it's actually a "Remix or Re-sampled" version) it's a good job and much improved. Not sure that there was anything "bad" w/ the OST to begin with but nothing wrong w/ improvements and it's always good to hear. Thanks for the links.

What I would like to hear is the PC version midi rendered correctly on Yamaha Hardware Synth (not the software emu) that should sound perfect if anyone will do it. [EDIT] That XG link claims to do something along those lines but do not state what Hardware they were rendered on.

Sure Direct Download is easier I know, unfortunatly this is Lossless (FLAC) so it's to big to upload to MediaFire as it has to be split into 5 parts or something. I will do a lossy MP3 encode and upload that (w/ all my releases) to the MediaFire when I get time. For now this is best I can do.

Thanls BigFNj for seeding :)

Well, could you at least upload the prelude ? Just this one, for the moment. In FLAC or MP3 version, it doesn't matter. I'd be very grateful !

I have a very silly question. In the very worthwhile task you took on of improving the quality of this very good music, did you happen to get the ocean them from Final Fantasy 1 to loop twice and not fade in but start at full volume?

So, I finally downloaded the FF4 Torrent. And I have to say : Thanks !
I think it was a shame to make the tracks so short (the prelude wasn't even complete !) and I was for a long time looking for a remastered version like yours. So thanks again !

A few days ago I decided to update my old iTunes 128 (copy protected) files for .30 to the new 256 iTunes+. I was surprised to see that SE actually changed the masters and this time used the same music I did from the All sounds CD.

Anyway I uploaded both FF 1.2 iTunes versions if anyone is interested in them. There's is basically the same as mine except all the did was fix the panning (no remastering). Some may like it better.

shimasterc I didn't do any edits or re-recordings for FF 1.2 so is't the same as the CD so the answer is no. Some of the SE versions may download those from my account, the older version is a new recording but sounds like they used a NES emulator instead of the real hardware.
