Nothin' yet, unfortunately. There is a 192kbps rip in another thread if you wanna grab that. I think thats just the promo score though.

Love silent hill ost in lossless format I will download them when you put them at megaupload since filefactory takes forever and there are many limits of downloading them there.Great job on your uploads!

It looks like there has been some controversy regarding the promo CD. I and many other people who own it have agreed that the tracks are from a lossy source!!

Konami seem to have mastered the disc from possibly an MPEG source. At least five different programs have concluded, with an average of 96% certainty, that the tracks were originally lossy formats.

I remember it happening with a few other VGM soundtracks.

Shame on you Konami... hopefully the release proper will be mastered accordingly.

I've re-upped each soundtrack to MU and included high-res 600dpi scans awell.

Silent Hill 4 (Disc 1 & 2), Silent Hill 4: Limited Edition and Silent Hill Origins to follow.

PS- I'm not sure if this in your expertise but if I convert FLAC to Apple Lossless (w/dBpoweramp) will I lose any quality?

All discs re-ripped as individual tracks with EAC to FLAC | CUE | LOG and include 600dpi scans of the artwork. However, the Sound Narrative “Inescapable Rainy Yoshiwara” is an Image/CUE rip as this is how the audio is stored on the disc (one long track).

All tracks have been fully tagged with MP3Tag including artwork.

Previous uploads were ripped as Image/CUE which some people had trouble with. They were also inferior rips as I had not defeated my drives cache, I was making use of C2 error correction and had not Test & Copied.

They're for completists like myself. The US version has some remixes that aren't on the JP version and the Sound Narrative “Inescapable Rainy Yoshiwara” promo is just disc 2 of the 2-Disc JP Version.

Yeah, I uploaded a FLAC rip to a torrent website right after I received my pre-order copy from Game Stop, and promptly got my head ripped off by the people downloading it for trying to sell them a porky. It was my first FLAC encode, I was new to it, so I didn't know how to check the disc like these people, and they thought I deliberately transcoded a lossy source to FLAC.
