Alright then. As some people know, Zak became too busy to continue with his rumble, and Flux took hold of it. He carried on began this version with a battle of quotes from ones that people nominated. Things continued, with hawkeye taking over for a while and eventually Zak took control of the rumble again.


I'm sure most people who will be voting in here know the rules, but for those that don't, here are the basics-- this is a competition with a number of battles held in a series of rounds. A theme such as "quotes" or "music" is picked and then the choices are pitted against each other in one-on-one battles. Once a round ends, a new one begins until eventually there is a single winner. Anyone can vote at any time they like, but you're only allowed one vote per battle. Keep in mind that this is not a normal discussion thread, so you are asked to generally only post if you are making a vote, though you are welcomed and encouraged to include your explanation for your choice when you make your vote. It also requested that you place your actual vote in boldface to make it easy to spot.

Also, the quotes I am using were ones nominated by the people who vote in this rumble. So I'm assuming most of them know where the quotes are from. Hmm... all right, so the question is... do we have any sort of list whatsoever? Zak, you told me that when this first started, you sent Flux a list of the 35 quotes that had been sent to you. Do you still have that saved anywhere, or in the "Sent Items" of your private messages? I suppose we could do the rest from scratch if need be, but I think it would be better if we at least had that to work with, and then we can try to hash it out from there.

It is. Specifically during the scene at Madin Sari (spelling on first part please) when Garnet and Zidane are on the boat. Here's the dialogue for that scene:

In quite a few cases I recall I couldn't remember what part of the game the quotes were from because they were only one line. You don't have to provide lines upon lines of quotes, just add a brief note so we know the context.

That is, if you don't mind. I don't really want to sound pushy or anything, but it would be helpful.

Sorry about that. It was something that I intended to do, but I kinda got lazy and the usual lack of motivation I have to do things to the fullest extent.

I'll do that next time, because there is the Eagle quote, which I don't recall Zidane saying. I recall him saying "The sly eagle doesn't kill at whim" to the Red-Haired Man right after you fight him, but not that exact quote, I'll have to read the whole script if I have to in order to find it...

Why worry about it-- the "Eagle" quote lost. But for the record...

This dialogue takes place on disc 2 when the story focuses on Dagger and Steiner during their adventure back to Alexandria Castle. During their stop at Treno, they end up teaming up with Tantalus (specifically Baku and Marcus), since they are on their way to Evil Forest to free Blank from Petrification. To cure his Petrification, they must steal an Item called Super Soft from a the scholar's tower in Treno. The scholar is Doctor Tot, who was Princess Garnet's tutor at Alexandria; until around the time that Queen Brahne was no longer her normal self. So rather than have them perform an unnescesary crime of breaking and entering, Dagger insists they get it the honest way...

You've Gotten Big:
Zidane: ... Oh yeah! You used to live next door to me. How's it going... Ratchel? Man, you've really got... big.

This takes place during disc 1 shortly after the party's arrival in Lindblum. Zidane goes someplace to find real food, finding the food at the castle, "too high-class for my tastes". Upon entering the pub in the Industrial District (name please), Zidane runs into a dragoon from Burmecia, and supposedly cannot remember their name. He pokes insult at her by thinking of a euphenism for calling her fat, at which point Freya almost staves his head in...

I think those descriptions are a little long winded, feedback with your vote would be appreciated...
