Can anyone argue with this? Could it honestly be taken seriously with how not-so-well done it was? Or rather done in a shitty fashion for people with a slightly more loose tongue.

This was actually made with intention of ranting on how big of a letdown it was compared to other finalf antasies and obviously not a worthy sequel.

I actually considered X-2 to still be a very solid RPG. Whilst the cutesy mix of Charlie's Angels and Sailor Moon feel was a bit too lighthearted at times, the combat engine was furiously fast (in comparison to other FF titles) and also frantically fun.

It was also awesome that they brought back the job / class system as well which made things more tactical and maintained a sense of urgency to the proceedings.

Overall I enjoyed it and in some ways it even surpassed FFX. The only gripe I have with the game was the TERRIBLE Blitzball adaptation.

Your rant is about 5 years too late. Other than that, I found the game to be as good a sequel to FFX as any that I could imagine square-enix doing. There were, of course, some things about it that I didn't like, but its gameplay, individual story, and especially the new game + feature, got me to replay it.

Sure, it was more feminine, but if you didn't want to play as 3 chicks, why buy the game in the first place, as you obviously know the characters right from the cover?
