This belongs in General Gaming...

but...

You can't save PSX games onto a PS2 Memory card, if that's what you're asking... you can only save them on a PSX memory card. :o

First off, this thread doesn't belong here... it belongs in General gaming. ^_^

But I'll answer your question.

Yes, you can play PSone games on a PS2 but you will need a PSone Memory Card to save your games. PSone games cannot save directly to a PS2 Memory Card (the 8mb memory card), but it works like a normal PSX if you used a PSone memory card.

Actually, my friend Jon managed to save a FF8 game onto a PS2 memory card. But I haven't tried myself yet!?!?

You can transfer PSone Memory Card data for a PS2 Memory Card by using the PS2's Browser Menu. You will need to send the data back to the PSone card in order to use it however.... the PS2 card is used for Storage in this case. You can fit about 900 PSone blocks in a PS2 memory card.
