Hey folks. I've downloaded a ton of stuff from this site, so it's probably time to give a bit back. I've made it a hobby for well over a year now to download each new expansion of EVE Online and rip the complete soundtrack out of it. I do that for several reasons: number one, because there is no official soundtrack for the game and I can't buy it, and number two, because the music of EVE Online is amazing.

EVE Online: Quantum Rise came out 2 days ago, so here's the link to the OST. All files are in OGG format, and it's a total of around 185 megs. I will not be posting an MP3 version of this OST, because once it's converted, it's well over 1.5 gigs of music. We're talking about 8.1 hours of OST here. It's pretty easy to run these through a file converter if you HAVE to have them in MP3.

EVE Online: Quantum Rise Gamerip Part 2 (http://sharebee.com/93b4693c)

Changelog:

Each expansion of EVE adds new music, usually only 2 or 3 tracks. The Quantum Rise Expansion has 10, coming out to 48 minutes worth of new music. With each new expansion, I'll post whether tracks were removed or added down here.

Quantum Rise - 11/11/08 - 10 tracks added, 0 removed.

-Close To A Holy Place
-It Ends Here
-Learning From The Past
-New Moon
-Point Of No Return
-Precious Ore
-Seek And You Shall Find
-Shifting The Balance Of Power
-Theme From Jita
-Where Evil Lurks

Quantum Rise - 11/20/08 - 1 track added, 0 removed. All files now named and tagged properly.

-Trinity Theme

Wow! Thanks a LOT! :O

So, is that pack including all tracks of the releases to date or just Quantum Rise?

Wow! Thanks a LOT! :O

So, is that pack including all tracks of the releases to date or just Quantum Rise?

It includes every track from every EVE Online release since the Revelations II Expansion in mid 2007, except for one song, which I DO have, I just forgot to place it in the pack I have for download up there. Whenever they release a new expansion, most of the music remains the same and new music is just added in. So as far as labelling the soundtrack, I label it by the last version I ripped. Had I posted this last week it would have been the Empyrean Age soundtrack, for example. But it has all the music from the expansions before it.

Usually when a new expansion is released, CCP (The company that produced the game) leaves ALL the previously composed music in the game's data files. For some reason, the theme to the Trinity expansion in early 08 was removed in later expansions. So when I re-rip the soundtrack, I have to remember to move the Trinity theme into the folder. I forgot.

I'll post a link to it as soon as I'm on a decent internet connection.

This does bring up an interesting point though: CCP has been known to remove music. I don't know if they ever did it in any of the expansions before Revelations II, because I hadn't heard of EVE before that. If anyone out there has the setup files for any EVE expansion before Revelations II, I would LOVE to get hold of them and find out.

Hm... so you mean the labelling you have "Ambience 001" is all there is? Because the soundtrack on the EVE-Homepage has actual names (like "Opinions of the Misinformed", etc.)

Actually, if you import the songs into any program that can read ID3 tags, they will be properly labelled. I'm planning to modify the files here pretty soon and get a better labelled version of the rip up, but I didn't have the time the other night. It's on its way, promise.

Ah, cool cool. I didn't play them yet, I just looked into the RAR once.

I've reuploaded the entire soundtrack. All files are now tagged with the following info:

Proper Title
Artist: Jon Hallur
Album Artist: Jon Hallur
Album: EVE Online: Quantum Rise
Year: 2008

I also added the Trinity Theme to the OST pack. It's in 192 kbps MP3 format, because the original OGG file was lost and it has since been removed from the game's files.

Hello Everyone

Due to a recent extern hard drive failure, i've lost the complete record of my downloaded albums, and previously owned a complete score of Eve online music.

This file is a larger one that our friend provided us with ( excellent rip anyway thx). However, i found some song mislabed ( like "Opinion of the misinformed") and some theme simply missing , just like pre-revalation awesome title (in my view) The Promised Land.

Both download are in my view, complementary after a couple of hours of searching

Ps: no need to register to access it , and its totally free!

Enjoy!

The Apocrypha Soundtrack is presenting a lot of difficulty. In the past, the entire soundtrack has been OGG format music files contained in an EVE file called 'resmusic.stuff'. It used to be a simple matter of unpacking that file and pulling the music out of it.

With the release of Apocrypha, CCP has changed the music files. They're now contained in a simple folder in the EVE install directory: C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\res\Audio. There are 183 files in the folder with the OGG extension. But they will not play in any player I've found. The newest versions of the OGG Codecs do no good, Winamp, Foobar2000, Windows Media Player, VLC Player, Quicktime, iTunes, Audacity, and a number of other players won't play them.

As to the number of files, for those that actually play the game, Almost all the voice files for Aura, the ship's computer, have been removed, and she's (blissfully) almost mute now. Many of these OGG files are less than 100 KB, so I believe they're probably the few voice soundbites left for Aura.

So the update is, the files are right there, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to play them. I've heard rumors that people have been able to get them to play in a certain older version of Foobar2000, so I'm following that lead right now. Anyone with more knowledge of codecs and audio encoding than me can feel free to sleuth this one out. As soon as I figure out how to crack this version, the files will go up.

Thanks, shadowolf86! I really do appreciate your efforts into this, for I love Jon Hallur's stuff. Finding out that I had every song in EVE, now that was a pleasant treat!

Here's some info how to rip the music
http://www.eveonline.com/iNgameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1061629

I compared my old rip with the files downloaded from the linked thread and the extra files seem to be what was added with Apocrypha. Includes 13 ambient track, the title theme and a wormhole sound:

Thanks for the links, sup. I don't actually own the game so I haven't heard any of the new songs since the last update to this thread. I just downloaded the tracks on a whim and fell in love. :)
