So I just about wet my pants when I saw that Chrono Trigger will be coming to the Nintendo DS!

As this is one of my most FAVOURITE and BELOVED RPGs of all time, I was wondering if anyone is as excited as I am?

And also, to those who have played this before, will you be investing in the newer version? I still would rather it on PSP, but hey I can't be picky I guess ;)

Always nice to see a great old RPG that has gotten harder to find being rereleased. I already have it for PSX in Final Fantasy Chronicles, but depending on how many improvements are made, I might look into this. I always prefer to have my games in their original form... I don't know why that is, but hey. :)

Came out yesterday. There's jizz loads of new features but unfortunately I don't actually *own* a DS.

I did go to GameStop and stroke the package, though.

See, there's the thing...I really can't see my self BUYING the game.
Maybe Slot1 the thing, but, spending money on a GBA port w/a DS price?

Yeah...not really.

i'd much rather it came out on the DS than the PSP! i see no reason to own a PSP whatsoever beyond crisis core & dissidia. both square games. the PSP would be totally dead without square, and it's about time they realised it's time to jump ship for good. i'm still really annoyed that i'm gonna have to buy such a pointless console just for those games. the DS on the other hand has loads of good games on it that make it worth the asking price (which is also a lot less than the PSP)

yes i'm a nintendo fanboy and proud.

anyway i love this game. i only got round to playing the SNES one really recently and i was shocked by how good it was. and it has time travel! i love games with time travel in them more than life itself. still havent finished it but i'm close, just got to do a little more grind / sidequest before the final area...
i would highly recommend chrono trigger to anyone, i'd say it's probably better than any of the SNES final fantasies - certainly in presentation it is light years ahead. the battle scenes look SO much better than the ones in FFs 4-6, that's for sure.

Because as we all know games like "Ace Combat" and "God of War" aren't on the systems.
Never mind all the love "Atlus" is giving the PSP.

Hell, that's not even getting into the modding aspects of the PSP that kill the DS in combo breaker of epic proportions.

I mean god forbid the games actually try and use the sytem, not for some shitty touch controls as a gim....O snap, forgot...
Nindy left the fans out in the cold years ago.

That all being said, FF6 is still better to me that CT will ever be.

if thats love to you, then atlus married the ds.

btw the way, you say modding killed the ds.
so... the system itself NEEDs modding to stick out?

"Jizz loads" is not a set amount. As it obviously depends on the jizzer.

Your wording SUCKS.

Yeah, Atlus has giving the DS lost of love too...I'll admit.

If the PSP needs to be better than the DS, it needs modding.
B4 modding, it's about equal.

Sure, the DS has games, but the PSP does other things.
Like go online w/o sucking.

if it couldnt be modded, it wouldnt sell as much as it is.
it is the sad true about systems, and history proves it.

if a system can be pirated, its sales go sky-high.

aside from third party peripherals, the ds cant really be "modded" and still outsells the psp.

i like my psp.... for watching anime while traveling in the car.
but when it comes to games, the sp or the ds is the way to go (yeah, i carry a psp, a ds and a sp... the sp so i can play GB games)
