At last. After 6 months I finally finished my 'Modern Games Music Collection'.
Lots of downloading, listening, searching, ripping, editing, balancing and mixing.The soundtrack consists of a hundred tracks plus bonus six. I picked them
from around 250 songs chosen from all of my soundtracks.

Each and every song must have met two standards: be composed especially for a game and simply - be modern, which means they have to represent certain level of complexity. Thus, soundtracks from titles like FIFA are automatically discarded along with those from old games (generally those released before the year 2000) and composed by Japanese artists. Most of them don't keep up with the 'western elite' such as Gregson-Williams or Di Prisco. One of the exceptions is Kow Otani whose 'Shadow of The Colossus' music I implemented in my collection. The soundtrack is under great influence of 'Metal Gear Solid', 'Need For Speed' and 'Unreal Tournament', but genres vary from metal to breakbeat. Therefore everyone should find something interesting. I edited large number of tracks. If one was either too long or had samples I didn't like, it resulted in reworking the song 'the right way'. Also every track had to withstand multiple hearings, if anyone bored me after some time it was discarded. In spite of that I was forced to find a replacement, because I wanted the soundtrack to consist of a hundred songs (plus bonus), That's why you can hear a 'Far Cry 2' theme which just had its premiere.

All tracks are encoded with 128 kb/s. I should have done them with 192, but well - it kind of turned out that way :D Fear not - they all sound good at least. I think you made very good choices!
You start off with a BAM with Doom 3's theme. Good choice. One of my favorite rock OST songs.

The Warrior Within songs are AWESOME as well as the Hell March songs. Even better than the Doom 3 Theme, which is already awesome. The Mjolnir mix is cool as well as the Bill Brown song. He's a good composer.

Your orchestral selections were very good choices... Inon Zur, Jeremy Soule, etc are talented composers. Tom Salta's songs.....SWEET. Same with Velasco/Dikiciyan. Loved their Stranglehold and Hellgate London works. Nice electronic songs as well! Shadow of the Colossus, what do I have to say... IT'S AWESOME. Nice bonus track selections too! 'Specially the Cole Train Rap song. :)

All in all.... Good job! :D

What can I say, you have a great collection in my opinion. One only have to take a look at the tracklist, a lot of great music in there. I don't know I can't come up with something that isn't here but should be here, at the moment.

Hi guys

I made some changes. Warrior Within tracks are now replaced with their counterparts from the original soundtrack. THe same goes to C&C Generals Tracks, however I added one song from this game and rejected Dark Crusade's track. Also I rearranged track sequence between the numbers 37 & 42.

In addition I'll post some discarded tracks soon.
