Downloading it right now. Judging by what I've heard in the game thus far, should be a good rip.

And I was just thinking about getting this game today and there's already a rip. It should be some good stuff judging from what I've heard about the game.

Although I do appreciate the rip, it would of had been better if you hadn't uploaded it to sendspace. A mere 50kb/s is not the best way to download a 200 MB soundtrack. -_-

The game is really addicting. I put more time into this game than Dead Space and Fable 2 combined....so thats saying a lot. Also the game has a very good sense of realism and conflict. I heard the PC game is pretty buggy and the PS3 versions seems a little rough around the edges. just glad I got it on the 360 and the collectors edition is pretty awesome

Good only for the folks that want to hear the dreadful themes of Fallout 3 by Inon Zur.

Inon completely ignored Mark Morgan's 10 year old soundtrack of the 2 originals games. They had a technological edge, a dreadful ambience, a sense that the world had fell apart. Inon's score goes for the EPICNESS, with rousing orchestration and a feeling that nothing can get in your way.

Plus, I hate the new game.

If you guys really want some good Fallout music, search for Mark Morgan's soundtrack of Fallout 1 and 2, then put it on your mp3 player and turn off the music volume of Fallout 3. It's the least you can do to try to capture the atmosphere of the old games.

Well, I'll be uploading my own version soon to Megaupload or rapidshare so you can wait till then for faster speeds I guess. I'm not sure when I'll have time to rip it though.

I will mirror this link to another uploading service soon.

How soon will your rip be out? No sense in mirror a link if another link to a different service is '' soon to be '' available.

I do not take any credit on ripping this. This rip was done by Killy.

holy crap this is an awesome rip, every audio file and its 320kbps so theres no need for the "official soundtrack"

an to the person who said "why upload to that sendspace" there isnt any other free sevice that allows files this large who dont limit, they all limit non-premium members to under 100kbps, so just wait it out.

the only better choice would to be split it up and uplaod to zshare, cause they dont limit and they also allow multiple downloads.

It's good music, but not a good soundtrack. Game is great, but because of the music I can't think about it as of Fallout. I sometimes think that I'm playing Oblivion, but with different setting (and sometimes not so different after all...). Score really doesn't fit. It's way too epic, too melodic. Traveling through wastelands I see wastelands, but I hear world filled with elves;). Wastelands needs "wastemusic", not gentle orchestral strings. Don't get me wrong, I think it's quite nice music, but not for this game.

I agree, Fallout 1 & 2 have much better soundtracks.

I disagree, herbaciak. I think epic is exactly what this game is and is what the music should be. The action cues that play the theme are some the best parts to me and really up the action even more. Plus, I'm glad that Inon Zur really developed a recognizable theme for this game. For me, what makes a good soundtrack is a good theme, which Fallout 3 has. But that's just me...

I don't know what you've been listening to, but I don't hear elves. I hear moody, dark music that fits well into the wasteland.

Thanks for splitting them. Im only interested in the score. I loved the music in game but the game itself was too frustrating with the crap healing system so its great to have a good quality version of the score!

Totally agree. In the end it was the choice of instruments that nearly destroyed the soundtrack for me.

He didn't complete ignore it, though it does seem that way. I heard *one* song while I was exploring one of the MANY subterranean areas, a subway I'm thinking, but it had some instruments and the exact same sound from FALLOUT 1/2 dungeons. Its very slight... and I don't know which song it is... When I DL this soundtrack I'll let you know which one it is, and when you hear it you will say "aha!", as it is VERY subtle lol.

Sure I'd like to know which one sounded like the old scores! I was enraged in my previous post because its something that not one reviewer mentioned. They all enjoyed the music of the game, and none of them realized it had ZERO to do with what the Fallout music was all about.

I downloaded the RIP via xocsucram's post, check the Score folder and listen to dungeon02, it has a new few to it but it DEFINITELY has the fallout 1/2 dungeon feel to it, if you have heard the previous soundtracks you will definitely recognize the instruments that make it falloutish! If not, I'll definitely have to get the fallout 1 and 2 rips/OSTs anyway since I do not have them already, and find a track to compare to dungeon02 haha.

Edit: Grab "03_-_world_map" from galbadia hotel from the fallout 1 OST and give that listen, has some of the same instrument-ish-thingies going on with it, I believe that's what made me think of the old fallout in that dungeon02 track.

Inon Zur also made the Soundtrack to Fallout Tactics and that game captured the Fallout atmosphere very well.

And hey, you don't need to use your mp3 player. Check fallout3nexus.com there are at least 2 mods which mix the new score with the previous ones.
