Mirror's Edge Demo was released today on the Xbox Live Marketplace; it is one of the best games ever. The music, the story, the gameplay....

I played the demo today and... I don't know what to say, I guess I'm guessing what else this game might have. Now it just seems to me that the running is all it has. And that kind of reminds me of the driving games which become quickly boring to me, if they don't have something else in them.

I just got through playing the thing, and I must say, I'm impressed. The thing that impresses me about the game is that everything's running at a smooth 60 frames. All the motion is done realistically. It should be considering they captured freerunners on film and watched them move. The gameplay is a little disorienting at first. I won't lie. I found myself pressing the wrong button time and time again. Still, the game is impressive. It takes some time to get used with the new control scheme, but overall..it's a pretty enjoyable experience. I'll have to play it again to get used to the controls. I think I'm going to find myself wishing it was Nov. 14th now. Ha.

It works for 2 seconds and all the speed I gained is lost and I start over at 0. So I haven't even finished downloading it yet. And I don't think I can upload.... And orangec, there hasn't been an official "score" artist, there's just a remix album and it's by a bunch of DJ's. The vocals are by Lisa Miskovsky. The genre's electronic, rock...ish. It's a unique score.

Actually, there were 3 seeders. And they were uploading like heck. And 2 leechers. Who were upping like heck too. The thing is with my internet connection screwed up, I can download files quicker if they have uber uploaders. If there's only a crappy seed then I might as well give up. Yup i was right, finished the game yesterday, and credits/staff mention their(solarfields) name along with some margus or magrus, and stillalive only one song is taken of lisa.

Anyways you unlock music after finishing the game and music was just awesome, some tracks were really nicely composed, mine favs are kate-puzzle and mainmenutheme remix version.

The main menu theme is nothing, the remix version is much better.

I am glad they added the musicplayer it saves the fatigue of replaying levels, the game alos gives you chapter select along with checkpoint select to replay best parts.

I've definitely not unlocked everything. I'll search around to find out guides/walkthroughs so I can unlock every soundtrack. I'll release it once I have nearly all soundtracks. If you have any information on how many tracks there are in total please do let me know.

I'd really like to save these in 320kbps but Audacity (the program I'm using to edit the soundtracks) only allows me to save up to 128kbps. Does anyone know of another program which I can use to edit soundtracks which I can then save in 320kbps?

Awave Studio allows you to, I believe. But I thought Audacity would let you do that...'cause it let me save to 320...

Save it to wav, then use goldwave with lame codec to convert to mp3, or put the lame dll into audacity' folder and it should let yous ave to 320kbps.

Yeah, the lame enc lets you encode to 320.

That's strange, when I click export as MP3 in Audacity it doesn't say kbps anywhere... can you tell me exactly what you are doing please when you export your soundtracks?

Edit: I've figured it out, thanks. The game rips will now be in 320kbps.

Farhan, I appreciate your work and effort, however, it appears you recorded the music only on the right channel.

Sorry about that! I sort of thought that was happening; I should've checked to make sure. The plug that goes in to my capture device for sound seems like it needs to be kept in one position for it to capture left and right channels.

Can you tell me which soundtracks are only one sided channels please? I will record them all again if I have to.

But what recording method are you using?

I have a high definition capture card. I connected my Xbox 360 to it and just record. Once it is done recording I extract the audio from the video using VirtualDubMod. The audio is in 15H which I then edit and export in 320kbps using Audacity.

yeah sucks that you went through all that and it was 1 channel, i've had connections like that, have to have the plug halfway out to get stereo, but then it won't stay there cause the weight of the cable eventually breaks the connection again. I feel your pain, we'll wait patiently for the fixed release. Of course you could play a trick and just throw them in a batch converter to convert the mono side to mirror the other and see how many true "audiophiles" catch it. :)

6 minutes are more than enough, anyways i guess some were missing in musicplayer like that PK training center (PK runners) chase music.

If all tracks were 8-10 minutes it'd take a long time to upload since they're at 320kbps. The tracks are now 5-6 minutes, is this fine? Also again, if anyone here has unlocked soundtracks which I don't have please let me know.

Thanks for the tracks man. From some Faqs I've read, I don't think there is anything more unlocked besides the achievements after finding all 30 bags. The music unlocked after completing the story seems to be it.

What I'm really hoping EA releases is some instrumental remixes of the Still Alive song. I prefer it much more without vocals.

BTW, the quality if fine, no problem also only few conceptarts were released online, not even artbook exists, i heard that there was some comic though for those who preordered.

Unfortunately my Xbox 360 got RRoD but I'm going to fix it tomorrow myself because it's very easy. Also, collecting all bags does not unlock all of the music, apparently there is more music you can unlock.

Farhan K hope you get the Red Ring of Death fixed. I had an Xbox 360 then the red ring hit my system. I was so mad.Had it for 1 year. Microsoft just sucks. I have a PS3 now the 160 GB model. it is my rip, it has nothing to do with other earlier rips. as far as i know it has all unlocked audio tracks. all other tracks will be hacked from XBOX360 xiso image in the near future...

UPDATE: a complete soundtrack is being made from the PC version. actually 2 variations, a(n almost) chronologic and a thematic (ambience+puzzle vs combat+chase) version.
