According to the magazine, the mysterious individual is known as Snow, making him the second weather-related character in the hotly anticipated RPG next to female protagonist, Lightning.

Final Fantasy XIII is due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan next year.

People said that lightning was not the protagonist's real name, rather a codename, maybe that's the case for snow. Expect the pink haired girl to be called something like "Drizzle".

EDIT: To be on-topic, I cant say I'm surprised at all. We've already had Cloud and Squall. Lightning and snow? Looks like a storm's a brewin'. With names like these, I'm surprised we ever get to have normal names like Vincent or Locke.

And don't worry, if Alfa-D is correct about the codenames, they'll get good ol' regular names like Vivi or Seifer or Yuffie or Palim or Relm or Zell or...
