What is the bit rate on this album? Just curious.

At work right now, so I'll have to download this later.

Thanks. The album isn't really as good as I anticipated, but it's not bad. We are the Robots is excellent.

Thanks for the find! I've been waiting for this.

EDIT: Not as good as I would've hoped. Splash Blue and We're the Robots were the only two mixes that really stood out. Quite a few were made worse and the rest were 'disposable'.

I have to be honest... It's the first Rockman arrangement I don't really like. =x

I mean... it's not horrible. But most songs are irksome. Splashwoman's theme is the only good song on that album, and that vocal theme song is nice, as well. Other than that... meh.
I wouldn't recommend buying it.

Yeah. Hit and miss. Tornado Man is a HUGE miss. I guess my only big hit would be the boss theme.

Is Diamond Man wearing lipstick?

Wait. I'm not that surprised, actually. There are a lot of Mega Man bosses with questionable sexuality.

I'm glad it's an actuall Arrangement album instead of just trumphed versions of the actuals like how III usually does, really digging the laidback feel.

Not that those are BAD, far from it. But this route they took shows that they can be diverse and still make good music.

If you're more into the Zero And ZX soundtracks, this won't be for you.

Thanks for sharing. I wasn't a big fan of the 8 bit soundtrack, but after listening to this one isn't not that much better even though it's arranged. I have to agree with some of the comments about Tornado man's stage... what the heck happened there... it's like they went all nature sounding or something. Still it's an interesting listen even though I think Capcom really dropped the ball on the franchise this time aroung. :(

I personally love that they didn't go the route they did with Zero and ZX. Very minimal changes. Just playing them with higher quality samples and instruments.

This is actually an album of arrangements. Each has a different feel. It's quite brilliant I think.

That's like calling a Final Fantasy album done in death metal style brilliant. Final Fantasy is all about pianos and stuff, Mega Man is all about Rock and Techno, no Marvel vs Capcom 2 nonsense.

Althought the album is what none expected, thanx for the link !! =)
I think they took the world "arranged" a little to serious for the ost. I for instance like the X -Jazz arranged album, because the songs really sound like jazz music but they resemble in a 100% to the original melody. But in the MM9 arranged ost...gosh, it some tracks when kinda awry. =(

Ummm... no. Final Fantasy is all about rock. That's why Uematsu started a rock band (y'know, The Black Mages?) to perform his songs. Actually, a lot of their stuff is already quite metal, so FF death metal arrangements really aren't that farfetched. Sounds pretty damn awesome to me, actually. I always wished they would turn it up a notch since most of their stuff is just too slow for me.

But anyway, I didn't really like the album. Like others have stated: it's a bit too overdone. The vocal song was nice, though.

When was Final Fantasy all about painos and 'stuff'?

If I recall correctly, most Final Fantasy themes have been redone somewhere as metal or rock, so I don't know what you've been listening to.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 nonsense? You mean like, porn jazz? Cause I haven't heard that on this album.

I can understand people not liking the album, but to make a comparison like the above is just foolish.

One Winged Angels Black Mages anyone? Sorry buddy, but the whole FF + rock thing has been done. Quite a bit.

You guys know what I mean with the Final Fantasy thing, you wouldn't like it if it was in a totally different style than it's supposed to be.

Thanks for the upload. I'm listening to it and don't think it's that bad. Reminds me of how Falcom's Arrange albums change the genres of the songs at times. Though the tracks being redone the same way they were for Zero/ZX wouldn't be bad either.

Hell, I like it either way.

I've purchased this myself, and after listening through today I found myself quite pleased... was dreading it after reading some of these comments!

The thing that works for me, which others seem to have already not agreed with, is the variation. Starting with a wonderful piano rendition of the prologue and then BANG straight into a rock version of the theme... an example of how no two tracks are similar. Well other than the song and it's karaoke counterpart, but you get the idea!

I think people are being over critical in my opinion... but then again, that's all it is. An opinion...

Listened to it twice. I enjoyed it. Not saying it's perfect but it's a good listen. Splash Woman's theme was very relaxing.

Hmmm, I only ended up saving one song on my computer, and it was the theme of splash womans stage. However; I laughed so hard when I first heard Jewel Man's stage music. It was just.. as someone said earlier... fABULOUS.
