Placebo and Matisyahu are far from shit. :d

Latest fine discovery: Sam Amidon (also known as Samamidon, which is kinda confusing), very awesome mellow lo-fi folk music. <3

Adore IAMX. I've been a big fan since the guy sang for Sneaker Pimps.

Right now I'm really into Kidneythieves and Dir En Grey

I could totally use some new bands. It's been ages since I caught on to something new...besides the aforementioned.

Vivian Girls
check out "where do you run"

They sound like wonderful harsh girls! <3 I'll check them out live next week.

Okay, recent new discoveries:

Bardo Pond

Very awesome band, discovered them pretty late but still, it's just a very nice eclectic noisy and mainly psychedelic mix of styles all into one neat 90s band.

Moccasin

One of many modernday space rock bands. Stuff like this is just a wonderful wave of sounds which I'm just getting into, really.

Mountains In The Sky

Splendid Australian electronic post-rock.

Nick Drake

Already knew him but only by name. So to me I still see him as a very underground artist, just as my dad has barely any idea who he was (and mind you, my dad's knowledge on the 60's period of music is rather large!)

Zeena Parkins

Electric harpist. 'nough said, really. :D And apparently she played with dozens of awesome artists, so I'm still checking out all the side-projects and what not. Very neat. ~

Tix go on sale for SF (Shoreline Mt. View, CA) in less than 2 weeks!! EEk! Britts get Ladytron & Mode.... Lucky!!

They didn't seem all that bad. I mean, despite the fact that all the other bands at the venue chilled with the general crowd and they were the only ones that didn't! But yeah, they are still totally awesome. They put on a great show too. They played 3 encores too ~ good times.

I'm sure they'll play in fake france one day! Petition it! xD
