Is there any way possible that they can be MP3 files? I don't know how to get my computer to read rar. If not, is there a way to convert them to MP3?

Just get a free trial version of winrar or google "freeware rar extractor". Rar is just a type of archiving compression; the files inside the rar are most likely mp3s.
