Has anyone heard of this game? It is a computer D&D game that is coming out Wednesday. I intend on buying it Thursday (have a copy reserved at Babbages). The graphics and gameplay look incredible.

On a related note, who plays D&D? If so, what edition, and whats your favorite character class and race? I play 3rd edition, and i like rogues and druids for classes, and humans, elves, and halfelves as races.

My story...

neverwinter nights was coming out! YAAAY! My boyfriend and I reserve it at EB, and Gamestop, and order it online just to assure ourselves a copy of it the first day. So we get to the mall, going to gamestop, and there is this FRICKEN DUDE in front of us in his car right in the middle of the aisle waiting for "cell phone lady" to put her stupid stroller in the back of her mommy car and move out of the way. So we sit here behind this jerk for like 20 minutes waiting for this moron person to get in her car. About 10 cars pile up behind us in this one way lane in the parking lot. We're all honking and screaming at the guy to go around to the other side of the row of cards where there are clearly open spaces, but he wouldn't budge. He was dead set on getting that stupid spot that the lady was in. So after thoroughly being mad, we go to Gamestop and wait in a line of 30 people, all buying neverwinter nights. Finally.. the game was ours.

So then... have you created your own module yet Tal? (lol your avatar is the portrait my BF uses for his character)

I can't wait to build my own and test out the DM stuff. 3rd edition rules are so much better than 2nd Edition. Although there are aspects of Baldur's Gate I liked better, I think Neverwinter Nights feelsl ike Dungeon Seige with a point using D&D rules with a compelling story. lol.

I usually play a sorceress elf. This time I'm going to be a human and a cleric, and double class once I get my cleric up high enough. I was very proud I chose a cleric, because it certainly came in useful during the beggars next quest with all the undead walking around. I turned them fools quick as ye can!! GOd I love this game.. Another day of 12 hours playing NwN!!!

yeh we play LAN games because he wired it so we play together. You should jump into a game with us sometime lol. This site doesn't have too many D&Ders I guess. Have you ever heard of the book coming out called Windhaven? it's a D20 city campaign.

'To each his own'. Dungeons & Dragons is the -best- rpg ever created. You dont get any better than D&D. D&D is the pinnacle of human creativity. Ok, ill stop before i make myself sick. but D&D is one of the best games I have ever played. Maybe you didnt have it explained very well, or had bad players. It all depends on whose playing to make it a good game. There are good players, and there are bad players.

Oh, a fag? I won't call you a fag, as it is a stupid term. I will, however, call you a moronic weak-minded fool. This is mostly due to your amazingly ignorant and poorly-worded and poorly-backed up post. I have no problem if you disagree with me or others. However, be prepared and BACK UP YOUR POSTS. This will make the shrine a bit more bearable for all of us. I warn you, this sort of post is generally frowned upon by most Shriners.

At any rate, I prefer to play D&D informal-style. Oh, we still have the whole "6 person around a table" thing and we keep all the traditions, but we do things in a fashion that may seem a bit silly to most. In my last game, I played as a Half-Elf Half-Orc character. He was awesome. He was neutral good, mostly disliked people in general, and was an awesome stealth bastard. It was so fun ^_^ The trick is to get a good DM and a good group of players, everything else will just follow from there.

I wish I could help. I'm heavily engrossed in this story. Mmm!! :D I love NwN!!!

As for D&D sucking. Umkay.. that's why it's the most popular RPG ever. Facts say everything I ever wanted to.

wow half elf half orc? That's one heck of a combination but cool!

I usually play a human neutral good cleric or an elven chaotic neutral sorceress.
