What is your reason for watching anime. For me its mostly because of the comedy. Almost all of the anime that I like has some or alot of comedy in it. I also tend to like the action just as well as comedy.

I like everything about anime. The main reason I watch it is because it's so entertaining. Then, of course, I like the stories and the pretty art. I think the scripts in a lot of the anime are better than the scripts in hollywood. Maybe it's just me, but a lot of hollywood movies seem incomplete to me. A lot of the times I want to see more. The stories in anime are a lot more developed.

What I said doesn't apply to all anime, of course. There ARE some pretty bad anime out there. In fact, most of the anime in north america fall under the crap category. XD I said I like anime but I never said I like all of them.

i like pretty much everything as well, although the romance can sometimes get pretty annoying. I like the animation the most though, ghost in the shell was amazing.

I watch it for the action. Well thats what I selected. I also think that animes have awesome scripts and stories etc.
One of the main reasons I watch it coz in anime they can do things that you can't do in real life...mechas and all the blood and fight scenes in alot of animes. Plus I just love cartoons.

i watch it for the story, for the ideas . . . i watch it for its complexities and it's simpleness, for it's romance and it's comedy . . . i watch it for beautiful art, but that's not necessarily a must. i enjoy a lot of the music.

it's hard to explain. but i like anime.

I really haven't thought about it before, but I guess because I like the art and seeing the animation. I just got hooked on watching it and started seeing a lot of the ideas that Japanese people come up with for different series. It also shows me a lot about Japan in a way. Especially the entertainment, and I really like that.

Pretty much all the reasons listed above apply to me a little bit, but I don't have any real reason I like anime. I just like anime, for a lot of little reasons. I watch anime for the same reason I watch any other show.

I think why do you watch anime is a very hard question to answer. Not because it's something complex, but because most people don't truly understand the basis of the question. When it is asked, most assume anime is a genre. Anime is not a genre; it is a medium, much as manga, live action, computer animation, claymation, stage acting, musical performance, the novel, the poem, the comic book, the video game, the online MUD or MU, the stick figure comic(don't ask), the song, the painting, and the sculpture are all mediums of expression. They all can represent genres such as medieval fantasy, sci-fi, cyberpunk, action, comedy, drama, romance, dramady, tragedy, dark comedy, legend, mytology, fable, and far more than I can begin to list; from the tragic hero, to the hero team, to the super hero, to the repentant villian, to a lot more other thing, they are all themes that can be present in all the mediums listed and more. People are amazed because anime has so many "sub-genres," but there are no real "sub-genres" to anime because anime is not a genre, and all the genres within it can really be portrayed in other media as well.

When I am asked the question, "Why do I watch anime?" I wonder, is that the correct question to ask. The correct question would be, "Why shouldn't I watch anime?"

There are people who view it as a genre, who will close their minds to it and refuse to watch it. They think that it is a genre, so they think that they are closing their minds entierly to one thing, but they're not. They are closing their minds slightly to everything because is a medium in which all genres exist, just as all media are. Close your mind to ANY one of these media, and you close your mind not entirely to one thing, but slightly to everything.

There is a point where all things become one. Anime is just one of those things that exist.

Everything about anime is awsome. XD The storyline, characters, music, themes, places, scenery, comedy, romance, action, adventure... and everything else. I mean like, I enjoy alot of things about anime.

Most animes interest me like Gundam Wing, Ranma, Sailor Moon (at times =P) and so many others because of the music, storyline, etc. But other animes like DBZ, pokemon, Digimon are so stupid and so childish. O_o I must say, they are drawn well, but dude.. o_O Who cares about a bunch of kids running around trying to catch monsters in order to save the universe? O_o;;;

I also watch anime for the kawaii guys. ^-^ Like DUO! And Heero. XD And Tohma, Ryuichi, Shuichi, Yuki, Quatre, Dark Mousy, and.. and.. XD

I first got into anime to see the porn scenes in the anime movies and de blood. I was also attracted to the matureness that some of the movies had. Now I watch anime cause I like everything about them well, most of them.

I like everything about anime:P because it's soo entertaining.
The characters,The music & themes,The comedy, action, and the most important .....STORYLINE !!

I like the maturity of anime/manga. I don't have to be ashamed of saying that I watch cartoons!!! I like the art, it's so detailed and very prettyful!! I am mostly into Romantic/Comedy anime/manga like Love Hina. I also enjoy Action/Comedy anime/manga like the hilarious Ranma 1/2 and Sailor Moon. There are few Action anime/manga that I like, for instance, Ninja Scroll was nice and Beserk is good.

Overall, it's fun to watch!! XD XD XD

I watch anime to stay alive..

I watch anime because all my favorite plot/storylines are in anime/manga form. I like the romance plots, but I like when it's mixed with humor at the same time. I usually don't care much for the 'vampire type' anime though. My preference ranges from as weird/deep as Neon Genesis: Evangelion to as shallow and random as Excel Saga.

I like it because I can sort of relate to it. I also love the jam-packed action, storylines, and girls of course.

i watch anime cos i thinks its cool and love the action!
