here is a poem well more of a ballad that i' have written awhile back, please tell me your thoughts about it...


A Snail

The journey home is rather far,
Often I am restless without cause,
I fall asleep as the doors open,
And when I awake nobody is there.
Refrain

The sun is high above the sky,
I embark on my breathless journey,
Suddenly a snail comes forth and smiles,
Singing slowly as it sways silently waving its hand.
Refrain

I give everything I have, even my pains just to carry on,
But my body is weary, and unable to take another step,
Everything seems to vanish; within the reality of my mind,
With the little strength left I continue to pursue my final dream.

Everything I hoped for seems to awaken,
The scattered stars gaze down toward me like a spotlight,
My dream is not forgotten, a hand reaches for me,
I will cross the ocean someday even though I'd never reach it.

I will someday travel about in a cold winter night,
Towards the end of the ocean, where nobody has been,
Although it has not been witnessed, somewhere in my memories,
The sound of the waves echoes endlessly, forever carrying me in its arms.
