Well here it is guys the final complete gamerip of the darkness, this time everything is here from the ambience down to the darkness variations. all action battle tracks are included and some short cues, those have sfx mixed in with them but its not so bad. This rip is ogg encoded 500 Max quality and has over 109 tracks total!! i then recorded the cinematic scripted scenes that do have music just for the completeness of the scores. The only music not present are the songs coming from the tv/radio but those are really not important, its what the scores that matters the most.

Also the reason for so many rerips is because of the action tracks have to start and end at a specific timeframe, if you know how gustaf grefberg composes his music then you will know what im talking about. if you don't then it doesn't matter, just put them on repeat or something. The action tracks and there stealth counterparts are suppose to loop.

Here is also a little info on the battle music terms.

(Ten) = Tension, this is the tension stealth track that plays when there is an enemy close by

(Dm Ten) = Demon or Darkness - This is a tension track like the last one but its slightly altered with eletronics and sounds, this plays when you have the darkness enabled

(Bat) = This is the main action track that plays during battle.

(Dm Bat) = Demon Battle - This is like the main action track that plays when the darkness is enabled, Yep you guessed it: HEAVY METAL!!! This shows the true power of the darkness!! Most awesomeness tracks of the whole rip.

So yeah there you have it!! In all grefberg games he uses a similiar sequence of music that incorporates into the starbreeze game engine, just with difference style. So if you like riddick, your gonna love this score.

Well it appears that i have discovered a new action track in the game, it appears if you point your gun at abe hunter, which leads me to beklieve there are more of these hidden action tracks.

Downloading for the second time. The first time I did it, some of the songs were cut in half and shared between parts, and those halves became corrupted for some reason.

Okay, so I was racking my brain forever to find what the music was during the Bioshock 2 segment of this video was: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/49770.html (at 2:30), and that brought me to a The Darkness conclusion.
BUT, I have my doubts about that. If it IS in OrangeC's Darkness Rip (which I've long since downloaded, and by no intents is this a criticism, but in light of its vastness have never managed to listen to in its entirety) does anyone know what the track was called? If not, anyone recognize where it's from? I get that Gametrailers does often use just stock music, but it's so tantalizingly familiar that I basically just need to hear it! =P

I have been wanting this soundtrack for a long time and from what i have seen online yours is the best.

Probably when at the time he had made this direct conversion wasn't entirely possible.

I knew that but my comment was not regarding technical possibilities for ripping games at all, it aimed at people who have been whining about reup since 10-22-2010 while the last rendition of this rip, direct conversion this time not only surpasses this v3.5 in quality but is also still online! So that the only problem I see in this and similar threads are folks who are crying about how badly they want now dead rips but are seemingly that lazy to not even try searching for the same thing on the same forums and maybe find it elsewhere (in this case The Darkness rip posted by OrangeC on 04-22-2009 in the 1st reincarnation of his VGM legacy thread). If you follow his threads you may have noticed that he sometimes posts reups in separate threads but people keep on requesting reuploads in the previous threads! Just one outstanding example: people are still posting in this thread (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/matrix-path-neo-complete-ost-tobias-enhus-35623/5.html) while rerip (Thread 55778) was posted back in 2008.
PS. That was not very good example because the link in the 2nd one is dead too, well, so there`s another example: Just cause ripped by OrangeC 3 times but reup posts in the first 2 threads are dated 2011 (final rerip was uploaded back in 2008)! Should I also mention cases when now dead rips from separate threads (The Darkness or Bully or ... are just a few of them) are reupped in megathreads like VGM legacy one?
