The crazy monster that even baffled the great Split Infinity... at least according to my various googlings something along those lines.

So, I look into how to spawn this guy, and keep seeing various different ways, and then other things denying them to be true: You need 256 kills, you don't need 256 kills, you need to kill all necrophobes in adjacent platforms, it has nothing to do with necrophobes, you need to keep one-zoning, you need to two zone, sometimes he doesn't spawn and no one knows why... and so on. All of those things are results of google and various FAQs.

If spawning it isn't half the trouble, has anyone here bothered to chain it to get a Danjuro or have a good method to do so? I've also heard so many different ones... Figures a rare-game with such a convoluted spawn method would be one of the four that hold a piece of equipment only available from them.

Though I do recall people mentioning here that they went out of their way to chain Helvinek. So, any good, testifiable, fastest Larva Eater methods out there? I want my Danjuro!

Here's a video I found of a good method of chaining on YouTube hope it helps...

Though this is probably the hardest weapon to get in the game so good luck...

Thanks, but I've actually seen that video, and I heard there are indeed faster ways. And even if they aren't, I'm interested to hear if anyone from here can testify getting it, seeing as some here chained Helvinek. How DO you chain that thing and get it's item? Every time I try chaining something like the Darkmare or the Ash Wyrm that doesn't reappear unless you reload, by the time the item is in my reach, it's too late and the experience points already show up before I make it to the exit no matter how close I am. Is it easier once the item is bigger or something?

It's easier if you lure it right to the exit screen, I've done it with Dustia in the Westersand... if I couldn't get the loot in time I would just leave the area and try again after killing it...

I've done it twice, using the Necrophobe/zoning method. It works, but I had to kill probably 12-25 LEs before I got a single Danjuro, so it was really time consuming.
