Okay, so, you know how there is an advantage to not buying items as soon as they show up in the Bazaar goods, so you won't have to collect again and the loot used to make them can count for other stuff. So, my question is this:

If there's an item used in at least, say, three recipes. I complete two of them. Would buying one ruin my count? Like, say there are recipes that use 6, 7, and 8 Dark Crystals. I have the one with 8 and the one with 6 complete. If I buy just one of them, would I still have a balance of Dark Crystals for the one with seven? Or would it subtract some, making me have to collect again?

See, I ask because here's the actual situation. I'm playing a game where I complete and collect the minimum amount of loot as soon as it becomes available, and for each set of Bazaar Goods that appears, I only buy it if each of the items in it's recipe has already served the rest of the recipes in which it is included. You with me? Good.

So, in theory, the maximum you'd need is two High Arcanas (well, four, but two at a time for the Tournesol). So, right, obviously I've sold two a while ago, and by the above rules which I'm going, I'm not buying them until that last one is complete. Story-wise, I'm after Draklor and did almost absolutely everything there is to do and get every piece of Equipment I could get before going to Giruvegan (except get the Zodiac Escutcheon in Barheim), including beating Hell Wyrm and going to the Feywood and completing the Mandragora Bestiary, and getting the Cerobi treasures with stuff I didn't have. Right...

So, the only High Arcana recipe I haven't completed, would be the one that includes the Ambrosia obviously seeing as those are only obtainable in the Great Crystal. Fortunately that one isn't part of the Tournesol stuff.
Now, here's the thing, I'm currently hunting the trophy rare game monsters. One of these is the Vorres, which you can steal Soul Powder from, and since I'm going by the do-everything rule, I'm gonna kill it. So, I already completed the Empyreal Soul recipe (thanks to the Ixtab hunt), so, if I buy it, would I have to get two High Arcanas over again? I ask this, because the only other place left to get Soul Powder is from Etems which are a pain in the ass. So, it would be a shame to have the Vorres one go to waste.

Thanks to Montblanc I won't have to complete these recipes more than twice, but besides from Montblanc and the recipe is there another place to get an Empyreal Soul?

Worse comes to worse when I get it I'll just hold it in my inventory until I complete the final High Arcana recipe and buy them and same with the next two High Arcanas I pick up and whatever else I need. 'till then I'd like some answers, please.

This might need someone to confirm, but I think that as soon as you make an item in the Bazaar, any of the items used to create it will have their count reset. Therefore, if you're holding any items you know you'll need for an important item, it's best to hold on to ALL of them and only sell them in the quantities you need as and when you have all of the ingredients. Otherwise, there's a danger of losing your items. I'm pretty sure it is based around when you create it and not when you buy it.

You can only get one Empyreal Soul for free, from Montblanc as you mentioned. The other two you need you'll have to create at the Bazaar. It sounds like you haven't fought Vorres yet though, in which case you should find it, steal from it, zone away two screens, find it again and steal again. You'll get a second Soul Powder without the hassle of having to find Etems.

Okay, THAT's wrong, I know the count is only reset when you buy them. I only sold two Unpurified Ethers and got the Flask of Oily Liquid and the Flask of Viscous Liquid, as well as everything else. What I'm asking is if the count is reset as soon as you buy one but leave another that shares an ingredient, if you need an ingredient for the third.

I would say that the best way to find out is to save, buy one and see what happens. If it doesn't give you the results you want, you are only a soft reset away from fixing the problem.

That wouldn't exactly answer my question, I'd have to go out of my way for more rare loot to do this "test", and even then I wouldn't be sure if it's accurate cause I don't remember what I already sold.

Hmmmm...that makes it difficult. You could always start a new game and find out with some of the easier bazaar formulas. If you have the time to waste that is.

If anyone has completed the Masamune recipe and got the Tournesol by getting only THREE Gemsteels, that would answer my question. I'm pretty sure someone would remember whether they got three or five, as Gemsteels are hard to come by and take a while to make. Damn Hell's Gate Flames.

Well, I'll know soon, seeing as I completed the Tournesol recipe before going to the Pharos and haven't bought it yet, and after I get out of there I'll have sufficient Orichacums for the Masamune (and again I never got more than three Gemsteels which were already used for the Tournesol which I didn't buy yet).

Sorry, I think that I misunderstood your question at first. But, I think that I might have found what you are wanting now that you put it like that. If you go to the "UNLOCKING BAZAAR GOODS" section it tells about combining recipes. It also shows that it is possible to get Masamune and Tournesol with only 3 Gemsteels.
