Hi guys. Being in "Trauma Center fever", I recorded the music out Trauma Center 2, and since I couldn't find a soundtrack here yet it'd be a great chance to finally contribute something back.

First the important notes for EVERYONE:
- This is my first rip; I know my way around computers and software, but not sound processing/re-mastering, so if there's a common filter that helps out with the muffles and stuff as you'll hear (which from what I've listened are part of the DS source), I haven't applied it. I will if someone gives me some pointers.
- Update (again): Filenames/title tags changed to match the game

Technical details:
Source: DS Lite Audio out (did try direct file conversion but couldn't find one, and then emulator capture but turned out to be slightly lower quality, my hearing anyway)
Sink: Creative XtremeMusic with LM4652 op-amps, via Line-In.
Processing: 44kHz 32-bit capture cos of the lower input volume. Normalised to -3dB. Cut to two loops and then apply end fade. Hiss removal (try to anyway) with Parametric EQ cut off at 6KHz, (-40dB). Saved at 44kHz 16-bit WAV.
Looping: Tracks which loop normally are run twice then ~8 second fade (just following what's around here anyway).
Encoding: LAME MP3 3.97, (v 2, vbr-new)

Hey, thanks for the rip ! TC Under the knife 2 is a great game, like the other trauma center games :).

Hu... I have many problems with operation 5-1...

I've had a play with some of the filters/EQ and found a preset for removing hiss (cutting out 6KHz and above) and seems to work okayish for the poor quality tracks like #14. On others it has no effect or perhaps even makes it worse if they never had high frequency problems in the first place.

And you can compare and replace tracks if you find this version to be better.

ha, yeah, i am wrong, i thought the music with Kyriaki was Confronting the Menace :D

ok ok let's just clarify things :p

There's the normal snazzed up GUILT music (e.g. "GUILT Returns" mission), Track 12
-> Encroaching Shadows

And the other music track you get in the Sinner/transplant mission ("Rebirth" I rebelieve), Track 13
-> Confronting the Menace

And just out of curiosity...is that Angie's voice actress providing the vocals for Swelling Emotions?

Having played much more now I actually personally think it names better the other way (the wrong way, lol). With GUILT being the usual menace and remember the talk of an upcoming shadow to describe Neo.

ok I just finished the game and have renamed/tagged the files to match the track listings in the sound test menu.

Just wondering; if this rip a complete one, with all the songs in the game?

Thanks for the rip! It's very nice, thanks for your hard work. I've been trying to do one myself with Audacity, but yours is much better than what I could have hoped for by myself.

If it's possible, you can create future rips and encode them Ogg Vorbis or with FLAC. The sound quality is audibly better than the 1990s' MP3 standard.

I apologize for the necro but anyone know of a song very similar to Unfaltering Hands? I love the 00:05-00:20 part a lot and was wondering if there was any song similar to that kind of tune but longer.
