Hi guys. Being in "Trauma Center fever", I recorded the music out Trauma Center 2, and since I couldn't find a soundtrack here yet it'd be a great chance to finally contribute something back.
First the important notes for EVERYONE:
- This is my first rip; I know my way around computers and software, but not sound processing/re-mastering, so if there's a common filter that helps out with the muffles and stuff as you'll hear (which from what I've listened are part of the DS source), I haven't applied it. I will if someone gives me some pointers.
- Update (again): Filenames/title tags changed to match the game
Track list names:
01. The Return of Ascelpius [0:51]
02. Prognosis [2:13]
03. Gentle Breeze [1:52]
04. Doctors on Duty [2:19]
05. The Price One Pays [2:07]
06. Darkness Sets In [2:01]
07. Briefing [1:13]
08. Let's Begin the Operation! [0:05]
09. Operation Under Way [2:20]
10. Unfaltering Hands [2:14]
11. Encroaching Shadows [2:10]
12. Confronting the Menace [2:01]
13. Severing the Chains of Fate [2:47]
14. Success [0:06]
15. For a Better Tomorrow [2:25]
16. Swelling Emotions [2:22]
17. The Burden of Failure [0:15]
Download (FileFactory, 40MB RAR): Trauma Center - Under the Knife 2 (DS rip).rar (http://www.filefactory.com/file/5bde02/n/Trauma_Center_-_Under_the_Knife_2_DS_rip_rar)
Technical details:
Source: DS Lite Audio out (did try direct file conversion but couldn't find one, and then emulator capture but turned out to be slightly lower quality, my hearing anyway)
Sink: Creative XtremeMusic with LM4652 op-amps, via Line-In.
Processing: 44kHz 32-bit capture cos of the lower input volume. Normalised to -3dB. Cut to two loops and then apply end fade. Hiss removal (try to anyway) with Parametric EQ cut off at 6KHz, (-40dB). Saved at 44kHz 16-bit WAV.
Looping: Tracks which loop normally are run twice then ~8 second fade (just following what's around here anyway).
Encoding: LAME MP3 3.97, (v 2, vbr-new)
And ofcourse all comments, criticisms, etc. welcome.
