One of the most iconic scenes from the FF12 promos and trailers is the scene with the judges walking through what seems to be a skyport. Other than the loop demo, I don't recall this scene anywhere in the game; there is a small still picture of this scene when Ondore reads the prologue at the start of the game but I do not think that does really count.
Did I just miss this scene? or is it a deleted scene, or was it planned only for promotional use?
One of the trailers also pictured another scene with Penelo holding a veil, dancing in a forest, maybe another deleted scene? or I was plainly just not paying attention.

Yeah, they aren't in the actual game so I guess for all intents and purposes they are just promotional FMVs. It wouldn't surprise me if a few of them were intended for the game at one point though, considering how long the game was in development.

Well its a pity that the one with the judges walking did not make it into the game, it was pretty cinematic; I always thought that maybe an early concept of the game's intro was planned to depict both sides preparing for battle (I think it is the Ifrit that flies in the background of the scene), but they then decided to focus on Dalmasca's point of view.

Itis explained (on the bonus disc from the Collector's Edition) that this scene was made from motion capturing the big names of the creative staff. It was done just for the kick of it.

Yes, I remember that but it is because in that interview with the CG movie director he refers to that scene as the "opening sequence" that I thought it was deleted. Then again, he may have meant "opening sequence" as in "loop demo".
