Do we know that for a fact or is it just not in the gamerip? I mean, there have to be more songs than 97. A 4-disk OST holds more songs than that. 3-disk holds about 97. And the OST is out in 2 days. The 9th. Today's the 7th. I know that sometimes games have more songs than what can be ripped from the disk, just lke sometimes the OST has less than what can be ripped.

The tracklist has been out there for a long time. The OST only has 82 tracks, and Fighting of the Spirit isn't part of it. OSTs often leave tracks out. It's the gamerips that get everything.

... Look, to say no thanks at all for consuming and not contributing is one thing, but saying "Your download sucks, but nice try" for consuming and not contributing is the other one.

What I don't understand is that in 2008 how its even possible to make a rip sound bad at anything over 160kbps. Unless the encoder you were using is ancient (there is no good reason not to use anything other than LAME 3.97+ if you are encoding MP3s) I'm not sure how you could even mess something like this up.

For others who downloaded this, is it really worse than the gamerip? Is the bitrate really 320kbps? 370MB is a bit over two hours which is only 2CDs worth of 320kbps if I'm calculating right.

The bitrate is actually about 320kbps, as it says, but it doesn't sound like it. It sounds like something under 100 kbps and the gamerip itself is definitely better. That's why I was so angry about this, after downloading about 3 hourse for this..

WOW! You've waited the huge amount of 4 days. What patience. I can't even breath, I'm that astonished. You know, I've waited a half year for playing Brawl, because I'm in Europe. That's nothing against you waiting for 4 days to get to download something for free.

I also don't see why you're complaining - the even more complete Gamerip is just there. You can take it and replace the "awful" tracks with those and tag them like the album. Magically, you'll have the OST! But oh noes, it's not really official. Guess you'll have to wait even longer. Le Gasp!

Edit: Once again, yes, I still can't calm down. This matter pisses me off to no end. People taking our (meaning the rippers and importers) time to be wasted for granted. Like we wouldn't have to do something better with our time and bandwidth than for uploading albums/rips we created or found or whatever and offering them here for free DL.

I agree with people(as opposed to complainers): great songs, it was really more generous than most people in the world deserve(not necessarily people here, just most people in the world. Like people who are too lazy to either buy the CD or wait more than four days), and it was remarkably quick. Some soundtracks I've been looking for for years are still not up on the internet for free. Some CDs I've been waiting for for years still aren't out. If I'm patient enough to wait about four or five years for a game, or about 8 for a CD, or wait since I was seven for a movie that's still only insubstantial rumors, then I can very well wait for extremely good quality until I either can get the OST myself or find really good quality. In the meantime, I give my thanks to Mogman, and ask if the beeping is really part of the original OST, so I can be sure it's worth the drive to Harvard Square(complete with parking-space nightmare) or the trip to the same place on the T and the money I could be saving for books and the game and gas and coffee. Just asking. ^_^

P.S.: I really do ask if the beeping on a lot of the tracks is really part of the OST. Just wondering. I don't mind it(at least it has a sense of rythem), but it can get annoying to others after a while, or so I'm told. If the disks display the beeping, then they're not worth the time, money, gas, parking headaches/crowded subways, or effort involved, even if the thing is pretty and shiny and musical and casts rainbows on my sub-ground, windowless apartment walls with only the reflected light off of picture-frame glass while still having Okumura-san and Fujishima-san's nice disk-top cover-art to stare at.

Ahh yes, that's more like it. The battle songs still sound a bit muffled, but that, I'm convinced, is the inherent nature of the tracks (as opposed to an encoding issue). Excellent upload, Maxwill.
