I wasn't sure where this topic would go, so I figured since he did a lot of television and radio stuff...

Anyway, he died yesterday in the hospital of heart trouble. Sad. I loved the guy. For those who don't know, he did the 'Seven Dirty Words' skit, was the first host of Saturday Night Live back in 1974 or 5 when it premiered, was the voice of Filmore on Disney's Cars movie, he was in several Kevin Smith movies (Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Dogma, etc). He's really gonna be missed. His comedy shows are on HBO a lot. Just thought you guys'd like to know.

Loved the guys comedy... except for the last one. Forgot what it was called, but it sucked.

Oh well, nothing lasts forever.

Wow, this is the first I heard of this... that really sucks. His comedy was great, I should go out and buy some of his stuff for old times sake.

RIP.

I heard about this last night right before I went to bed :( I know he was 70-ish, but it still seems really out of nowhere. Wasn't he supposed to have some big thing honoring him soon?

Anyways, he was a neat guy and this is pretty sad.

I absolutely loved "Mr. Conductor" as a kid. Came to love Mr. Carlin's comedy as an adult. RIP, good sir.

Yeah, he has an award ceremony coming up in a few months, with a slew of comedians paying tribute to him.

I loved his work I always watch his HBO Shows and I have 2 of his albums he was a very funny guy! One thing he did not put up with the system he spoke out against it through his comedy routine. He will be missed by and the rest of the world! :(
