Thought I'd do my part in fanning the flames of MGS4 fandom by providing my own custom game recording soundtrack. What I've done is recorded the in-game BGM in Metal Gear Solid 4 that's NOT featured on the official Original Soundtracks release. This includes the Evasion themes, the variations of the boss battle themes, and a choice number of cutscene pieces - but none of the music that's not necessarily relevant to MGS4 specifically, such as the iPod tunes. I absolutely implore you NOT to listen to this until you've finished the game, as they're potentially spoiler-worthy (Especially the cutscenes, due to its accompanying dialogue.) You'll also find I've made two edits of the Love Theme, an Intro and Outro version, as they're played in the game - as well as a fusion of "Metal Gear Saga" and "Here's To You," a fusion that begins and ends with the Saga melody. It's structured this way in the game's ending - and I thought it makes for a more emotionally-cohesive listen.

I've also taken the liberty of re-shuffling the official OST's listing to reflect the unreleased material - as well as placing certain tracks back into the game's exact chronological series of events. So if you're wondering why Drebin 893, Haven Troopers, BB Corps, and Guns of The Patriots are out of order, that's no mistake.

In addition, you can find another listing where I simply integrated the disc 2 tracks 18-27 alert/caution themes back into the soundtrack's proper order; it never did sit well with me that they chose to place all those at the end of the soundtrack.

Yep, was able to grab that one too. Although when I made the recording, I somehow missed that it was actually called "Victory Theme" - and I named it "End Game Ranking."

As for the resistance whistling and Sunny sung versions..... I'll see what I can do. ;)

The 20th Anniversary iPod pieces are from its official CD release, yes. As for Old Snake, the only difference with the game recording version is that only the guitar melody part loops - and, maybe it's just my ears deceiving me, but it seems the game version has a touch more reverb added to the guitar.

The other files are re-cut or edited versions of the tracks on the 2-Disc MGS4 Soundtrack.

You can readily find the official OST elsewhere on the forum, which contains the remaining tracks. *points to switchfreak's thread* The listing only reflects the order as to which the game recorded tracks fit into the main OST. It's up to you to integrate the two together if you so choose.

I'm holding out for the release of the second OST to this game (I've heard they will), because there's still some quality pieces I would like to have (including in the epilogue during Drebin's speech where there is a fantastic piece with the MG theme incorporated into it). "Everything Begins" doesn't come close to capturing the entire music of that scene.

The Ipod tracks are mainly stuff from older MGS games and other of Kojima's stuff, if you know what your looking for they're easy enought to find.

There's a couple of pieces which aren't available anywhere though, like the stuff by Two-Han Princess and The Radio Club. There's a downloadable song in the Extras menu called "Conclusion" which isn't available anywhere else as well.

Well the MGS4 OST is just that: the MGS4 OST (despite it missing alot of its own original stuff), the tracks from other games are also just that and can be found on those games OST's, all the stuff from the previous MGS games is easy to find, you even have all the info in game as you hear them (title, year, album).

Well yeah I know that, I'm just a bit of a completest and want all the songs together. I was only concerned about the track The Tanker Incident, which I wasn't sure could be found anywhere else since I couldn't find it on any MGS2 soundtracks. I thought it was a MGS4-specific remix.

Was wondering if you could get a rip of the music that plays right when you land in Outer Haven. It may be a remix of one of the tracks already but it has this wonderful Dolphin noise looping in it. Could you also rip the "Conclusion" extra song from the extras.

I've been searching all over the place to find the versions of the Boktai themes from the ipod. I've got the originals from the games but I'd really like to find the MGS4 versions. They sound amazing. If I were to request anything, it would be those songs.

Thanks for the work! Most of the OST's best tracks I think are outside of the official release.

I just finished playing my 5th time through and I hear a different version of the End Game Rank theme, instead of the voices singing it's whistling the same kind of tune. Maybe when you play it a certain amount of times it changes? If this can be recorded as well, I would greatly appreciate it! I love the tracks on here as well! Great Job!

All of the alert themes, including Act 5's Outer Haven, are already featured on the official OST. Outer Haven's in particular is titled "For Liberty."

I went ahead and uploaded it for you anyway - plus, I made it an edit so that it loops, something the OST didn't do. I also put the caution phase theme "Surrounded" that immediately follows onto it as well:

If it's okay for you Angela, would mind making an extention for "Forced Hand","Under Curfew", "Unmanned Army" and "Cold Memories"? I'm well aware that these tracks are in the OST, but I felt they're short and these tracks are to my liking. Of course, the decision is yours to make. If you do consider, I thank you in advance.

I'm not sure if you know this but there's a different alert and evasion track played in the later part of act 4. It starts in that room where one gekko is hanging upside down, at least that's where I first heard it.

That track is an altered version of Next-Gen Control.

In the song of that name (Guns of the Patriots) on your upload, it starts at 0:50 and ends at about 1:04 (well technically it keeps going for a few seconds beyond that, but that's when it begins transitioning into the next part of the song).

With all due respect to CloudStrife1989, I believe his Expanded Score project might have what you're looking for - IIRC, he has three variations of the song. Why don't you check it out?
