Is this the one with the girl main character for DS? I forget. (your image does not pop up)

If it is though...I'm looking forward to it. Saw a trailer of it...too bad it's not even out in Japan yet. It'll be a while.

Eh, people keep going on about how this one will finally end the formula the handheld series has been using since SOTN but from what I've seen the gameplay looks exactly the same as the other DS/GBA Castlevania games. If the changes aren't significant I doubt I'll bother.

The trailer seems like the female protaganist will have a bunch of moves with you can incorporate in a sweet combo. I can't wait for to launch.

OK, I looked at the the trailer and gameplay and well,
it raises some questions in my mind. First off the magic
symbols that appear on her back from time to time look
similar to the Devil Forge Master symbols that Hector and
Issac have. Does that mean her magic is similar to that
power or is she Perhaps related to Hector?

I personally doubt it, but hey, I've seen stranger
plot twists in games.

Second, I can help but to notice her similarities to
Charlotte from PoR. Perhaps there is a relation
between the two or perhaps they learned the same
style of magic.

Third: She's not a Belmont is she? It would be a nice
change of pace if the main character wasn't a Belmont,
not related to the Belmont Clan (this includes the
Belnades and Morris's), and not related to Dracula.
You know someone else that has been wronged by
the prince of darkness and/or has had enough of his
rampaging.

Again, I fear that this is wishful thinking, but you never
know.

I remember a long time ago, they did and interview
with IGA (Koji Igarashi), and one of the ideas he was
playing around with was playing as a Teenage Dracula.
This was pretty much looked at as just another crazy
idea that would just be buried in the pile of tossed
manuscripts, but around 18 months after I saw this
interview, we were introduced to Soma Cruz, and the
rest as they say, is history.

You're getting a negative comment anyway because you're an ignoramus. You have absolutely no idea what the defining characteristic of a role-playing game is supposed to be, and as a result seem to think that anything with characters that level up is one, even though the first role-playing game ripped mechanics like that out of existing games.

Also, learn to type like a respectable human being. Your posts look like the result of a brain-damaged ape pounding on a broken keyboard.

I'm dubious. They've been reusing the same SOTN formula for a while now and Portrait of Ruin felt pretty stale. This one seems disappointingly similar.

I enjoy the "Metroidvania" style of play, but the franchise should strive for more.

Lastly, it's not an RPG.

Wait, a CV game without some sort of musical reference in the title? That hasn't happened in like, forever!

Lol! Always around to to slam you down. That should be your motto, Prak. But, Epic Lulz, never the less.

IGA has gotten the series for himself since SoTN, I believe this new game will be good but hardly different than the others, IGA needs to give it a rest.

Also, not that I'm complaining about Mrs. Yamane's work or something, I think she's one of the best composers around but, I'd like the music to be different too, like in Super Castlevania IV, more atmospheric and creepier.

i agree but at least put Dance of Pearls from SOTN i woulndt mind hearing that lovely song again

also lemme jus say this as long as iga keeps the castlevania storyline good as well as the music ill always accept a Castlevania game except for the ones on N64. Also soma's
storyline isnt finished so wats going wit him?

...lemme jus...wats going wit him?

Ugh. I don't understand why anyone actually thinks typing like that is a good idea. It's the internet equivalent of ebonics. Leave that garbage in the ghetto where it belongs and act like a stereotypical nigger elsewhere.

Also, lol @ the idiot thinking the Castlevania storyline is even worth mentioning.

I think it's about time Castlevania received a new composer or style that sounds a little less like techno-baroque. Tradition is all well and good, but as I've mentioned the formula has lost some vitality to a long-time fan like myself.

The next time we see Soma will hopefully be at the point of blade if he becomes Dracula. Though, knowing the sub par writing characterizing the game industry, he'll find some magic means to foist it upon someone truly evil then kill him. Whether Soma will play protagonist in another game remains dubious since Castlevania doesn't often do that.
