Came across this gem by accident, my mom was given a bunch of unwanted music and computer CD's. I noticed one, a "SEGA of America Presents" title, I figured someone here would probably like it. So I ripped into MP3's. The CD is music performed by various artists, some of them very likable hits, such as Grunge rock by Saigon Kick. I was actually expecting it to be some game music to be honest. Oddly enough, there is almost no info online about the actual CD. Not sure if it's rare, but I'm sure at least a couple of you may like it.

SEGA of America presents: Adventurous New Music (SEGA CD Sampler) (1992) aka "Hot Hits: Adventurous New Music" Recorded:(11.91) Released:(?.92)
{Warner: OPCD-1630 & MX-4129- CD - US}

+ a sampler CD distributed with the original-model Sega CD-ROM
peripheral from Warner Special Products.

Contains:

Track 01: "Haven't Got a Clue" by Dramarama

Track 02: "Hostile Youth" by Saigon Kick

Track 03: "The Edge of your Bed" by The Escape Club

Track 04: "Black Peal (So Funky)" by Yo-Yo

Track 05: "A Girl Like You" by The Wolfgang Press

Track 06: "Mammal" by The Might Be Giants

Track 07: "Lost In The Storm" by Chubb Rock

Track 08: "Firepile" by Throwing Muses

Track 09: "Sweet-Talker" by Sister Double Happiness

Track 10: "For Love" By Lush

(note that On the CD Jacket and CD Label, has the title listed as "Black Pearl" but Winamp's CD look up feature has it as "So Funky" Perhaps he song was renamed? Also, the CD's title is also later changed to "Hot Hits: Adventurous New Music") This makes me wonder if it was released outside of the SEGA CD packaging.
