So I did a search both here and on Google and I couldnt find
anything on this so sorry if this is old news >_<

Anyway I just want to know if anyone has noticed the strange
effects that All Lucky 7s has on your Materia?

Back when I used to play Final Fantasy 7 alot (some 3 or 4 years
ago now), at the end of the game with all charachters at Level
99 I was lucky enough to have a Barret that, with a couple simple
Materia equipped, had a fixed HP limit of exactly 7777.

To the point, I found that this had an effect on some Materia if
I didnt use Barret in my party, but left him with his 7777HP limit,
and just used characters with normal HP levels (ie, not 7777)
instead.

For example, whenever I tried to Morph an enemy while there were
multiple enemies on the field, the charachter would use Flash
(Slash-All's second Ability) and kill all the enemies AND Morph
them all at the same time.

I also found that with Summon Materia (I used Bahamut Zero, dont
know if it works with ALL Summon Materia), if you get into a Battle
where you have enemies on both sides of you (example, Ruby Weapon
and its Tentacle thingies), the Bahamut Zero would attack all enemies
on both sides of you at the same time.

This was all I got to try though before stupidly deleteing my
Save File and losing my "fixed on 7s" Barret forever :(

So I just want to know if other people have done this and what
other effects did you find your different Materias having?

I've never been able to get a character's HP fixed on 7777...I actually thought it was impossible, seeing as after any battle where a character gets the 7777 effect their HP is reduced to 1.

Uh, I'm not entirely sure what you're on about, I do remember reading something about this lucky 7 thing in a magazine.

I second that statement!

I don't think that a lot of planning would have been put into the effects of having a character with 7777hp- It's obscure enough to know that getting a characters hp on 7777 will have certain affects, let alone having it fixed on that hp limit.

Yes, that is what happens after a charachter battles with lucky 7s,
their HP reduces to 1. What I mean is I was lucky enough that after
I equipped Barret with some Materia his Max HP became exactly 7777,
meaning after a battle when his HP went down to 1, all I had to do
was give him an Elixir and he'd heal straight back up to 7777. So it
was like he was permanently on 7777 all the time unless I chose to
unequipped the Materia I gave him.

The point though is that I didnt use him in my Party, I left him out
(while leaving his HP on 7777) and used other characters instead who
were NOT on 7777HP, and it was then that I found that during Battle
my Materias had strange effects that they didnt normally have, like
what I stated in my OP.

To be honest I got it in a battle once and I have no idea what you are talking about.

Honestly I think you don't remember right or something.

The thread isnt really about Lucky 7s (I know Lucky 7s is old news),
this thread is about the special effects Lucky 7s gives your Materia
if you have a character on Lucky 7s but choose not to use that
character in your party. Sorry if I didnt make it clear enough in
my previous posts.

And I know its been like 3 or 4 years since I did this, but I am
quite positive my memory on this is accurate, because after I deleted
my Save File I started the game again from start to finish about 3-4
times to try and get another Barret (or any other character) with
a Max HP of exactly 7777, but I wasnt able to get that again.

First time I've ever heard of this.

I think your memory might be fuzzy.

I can't really see the programmers going to the effort to add that to something that is supposed to be a rare one off.
Of course it's entirely possible that the game's rushed and buggy state might cause some oddities. it's most likely not an intended feature if true.

So no one else has ever done this or seen this, or even heard of this before?

I've heard of it but never bothered to try it out.

Like Slavka, I also believe it's impossible to fix any character's Max HP on 7777 on level 99. It would take an incredibly diverse Materia set and excruciating amounts of planning. If you actually managed to do it, then you're one of the only people who know about the glitches that follow.

Yeah, to me it sounds a lot like a glitch/bug in the game, as well.

Sup guys. Well, I just got through playing this game from start to finish, and I did it! I got Tifa permanently on 7777HP :D

How did I do it? Well, it was quite simple really. All I did was got Tifa as close to LV99 as possible, saved the game, then simply leveled up, and reset, until her Max HP landed on the perfect number, 8837.

So on level 99 Tifa has a Max HP of 8837. From here, all I need to do is equip her with Ultima Materia (-10% HP), and Restore Materia (-2% HP), and it gives her a Max HP of 7777 exactly :)

So far, ive tried this leveling trick with both Cid and Cloud, and although ive come VERY close with both of them (7787 for Cloud and 7778 for Cid!), I couldnt quite get the magic number :(

I still have the other 5 guys to try though, so we'll see how that goes. Im hoping to get atleast one of them on 7777HP alongside Tifa.

When ever you have 9999hp and only three materia equip during emerald, when he uses that spell where half of him departs and damages everyone by how much hp you got. like 1 materia 1111 damage 2 materia 2222 and so on so you can just keep you hp up until he uses that move and you'll get all lucky 7's when ever he uses that move. Right?

Also Bahamut Zero and other summons hit both sides without lucky 7's. One more thing to note that after you use lucky 7's and the enemy isn't dead then all your moves and spells will do 7777 damage.
