It's called "Brand New Spirits," off the CD-single of the same name. Two of the three tracks on the 3" CD were released on another CD (SNK New World Final, I think, but don't quote me on that). Sung by Chiba Reiko, and not exactly high on my priority list, given how much I hate j-pop, but it'd still be nice to have, for completion's sake.

And I have the Asura Zanmaden OVA soundtrack... nothing from the original (godawful) SS movie.

Nice one man. Just love SNK soundtracks.

I'm not going to bother with the collection box. It's nothing more than the OST discs, stripped of the voice/sound effect tracks and with a different track order. The SS5 soundtrack (OST and AST) is also part of the Zero no Maki set. I'll be uploading the remaining stuff later today.

downloaded some of these, they are pretty good to hear. One of the things aobut Samurai Showdown is the fact that their music is much less generic then other games.

I couldn't say for certain, not having heard the Garou box (would like to, though). But the Samurai one contains no new material whatsoever.

when Galford was following Shiki with his dog (it is same music with Genjyuro vs Asura)

I'm not sure what you mean. If you're referring to the drama track on the anime CD, the title should be in the ID3 tag.

The only one that fits that specific bill would be the Symphonic Sound Trax CD.

As for rare SNK stuff, that's largely about it, as far as music goes (unless the RBFF AST is rare).

Thank you so much man. I downloaded all the games I've played so far, which include:

Samurai Shodown 1's Original and Image (or arranged) soundtracks. The image has some interesting stuff and I really like what they did to Hanzo's and Jubei's theme, Haohmaru's was great too...just felt a little too slow compared the epic sword fight styled original.

I'm not sure how I feel about Galford's and Earthquakes theme...I like Galford's a lot but that flute sounds terrible in the beginng, Earthquake's on the other hand...I don't like as much as the original. Nakoruru's and Tam Tam's are better for sure, Charolette's...hmm...I don't really like it as much as the pumping original, same with Wan-fu's.

I'm tied on Senryo's and Gen'an's is better but still not good.

An interesting album that I'd like to own for collection one day for sure though.

The original is awesome, despite being the very hardest to play out of the series I absolutely adore it's soundtrack.


DL'ing Samurai Shodown II's soundtracks (there are many)


I DL'd Samurai Shodown V's soundtrack too! Yes, I didn't play a SS game till V since II! Yeah and I did like V Special a ton even if it was totally different, but man...the soundtrack...isn't really all that impressive. There are some songs that I like such as,
Bushido (title), Twenty-Four Warriors (player select, which is miswritten in your info as fourteen), Shogun (Yoshitora's theme), Moonlight Diner (Kusagedo's), Tuna Incarnation (Galford), but the rest I'm totally unimpressed by.



Hope that doesn't come off as I'm whining about you, I'm glad I finally got these on my iPod thanks a ton!

Really good of you guys to put this stuff up... I have several of the SS soundtracks but they're missing songs and some of the stuff is hard to come by. It's much appreciated.

Also requesting an adequate gamerip of Samurai Shodown V Special.

For all those who want a SNK or Neo-Geo game rips, i recommend to use the emulator Kawaks, with this only you have to press the plus (+) and minus (-) keys and the emulator change the tracks of the rom (game), thats gives you the chance of record (funtion included in the emulator) with the number of loops you want.

Yeah, i know the realesed OST CDs are much better, but this can help you to record some good tunes if you don�t have the OST.

What kind of error are you getting? I just tested them and had no issues.

It's not included on the SSRPG OST. You can find the original version on the SS3 OST/AST, though.

It's a really great collection. Really, reaaaaaaaaaaaally thanks for uploading it. Unfortunately, when I tried to download the Samurai Showdown 64 album (Asura Zanmaden) it's no longer there.

Aside of that problem, everything is ok and this is really the BEST compilation of Samurai Spirits Soundtracks.

Pretty neat collection, the most complete one I've ever seen. I wonder why the Samurai Shodown Arranged Soundtrack (the one from the Neo Geo CD) was never released. It's a swell arrangement in its one right, at times even superior to the Image Album in my opinion. Thanks for the effort, dudes, Samurai Shodown deserved such a post.

BTW, besides the Brand New Spirits single you are missing the Bonus CD that came with some editions of Nakoruru - Ano hito kara no okurimono (http://vgmdb.net/album/18089), this is a game that was released for DC, it is said that is based in a manga. Two of the 3 songs of Brand New Spirits were released on NEO-GEO Gals Vocal Collection

Okay first off... this is an awesome collection... drama cds for the fucking win... It truly is an ultimate collection. Thank you very much for uploads. But I have a comment and a request.

My comment is in most of the links are dead, except the megaupload links within the sharebee links. So if you are downloading, don't waste your time, just go for the megaupload links on the sharebee site.

And my request. Can the "Samurai Shodown Image Album" and the "Samurai Remix V.A." please be reuploaded. I've never heard of them, but I'm interested... I don't even know what a image album is...

Edit: Any place that I can find the information on the details of the drama albums, like the voice actors and such? A quick check of the wikipedia artilce showed nothing (both english and japanese), so just wanting to know can anyone in this thread point me in the right direction. Did they use the same voice actors as the games?

If anyone else is interested in who the voice actors were in the first 3-part samurai shodown drama cd, they are as listed. I could not find out how to read the kanji for the voice actors for ukyo and ambrosia (translation: was not on wikipedia)
