Hitoshi Sakimoto- Valkyria Chronicles / Senjou no Valkyria
EAC|FLAC|LOG|CUE|ACCURIP
Synth orchestral|Military

I'm reviving this thread with a lossless link for the first soundtrack because the other thread with lossless links uses a strange host I couldn't figure out. I received a request via PM and so here is the first Valkyria Chronicles in FLAC, my rip.

As much as I enjoy the other two scores, this is still my favorite (minus some amazing guitar in the third score).

Thanks a lot, you can't go wrong with a Sakimoto soundtrack.

Hmmm... I actually didn't like the Romeo & Julliet OST. The orchestration made it lose some of his signature sound. But I'll give this a go anyway.

Despite of using orchestra it's still very "sakimotish" music:). And to be honest it sometimes sounds quite artificial. I think it's just the matter of Hitoshis style thoug. But it's still nice listen:).

I have received one PM already requesting that I upload the FLAC version I converted this from. The reason I am likely not going to do that is because its like 850 mb and that would take quite a while to upload on sharebee or any of those services. Also, the group who put it out has their own release channels of bittorrent and irc that I suggest anyone who really wants the FLAC to use.

The torrent can be found at
http://losslessone.fansub-torrents.com/%5BLonE%5D_Sakimoto_Hitoshi%2C_JUJU%2C_Toyoguchi_M egumi_-_GALLIAN_CHRONICLES_ORIGINAL_SOUNDTRACK_%5Bw_scans %5D_(FLAC).rar.torrent
and they can be found on #[email protected] in IRC.

Thank you for your post!

No - you're right, it IS artificial. Only a mere handful of tracks are orchestral - the rest are synthesised.

Still, it's a good listen.

Thanks a lot, Sirusjr. Sakimoto is one of these composers whose unique style fascinates me. No wonder why he's so prolific (thanks for us!).

Link still works! Thanks very much!

However, just to let you know, Disc 1- Track 1 and Disc 2- Track 25 both are .fla instead of .flac. Not a major issue, easily fixable.
