Does anyone have the bgm to the past stages from Sonic CD? I'd also like to know who composed that music and why its different from the rest of the music in the US and JP soundtracks. Thanks.

1) The past music can be found at http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/3325
2) Naofumi Hataya & Masafumi Ogata composed the japanese soundtrack. Spencer Nilson composed the US soundtrack
3) From what I've researched, the music in the US version is different for the only reason that Sega wanted to try and make it come across as a "special edition". The reason the past music is unchanged is that it was made as pcm audio instead of redbook audio.

thanks, i knew that much, but i was under the impression that hataya and ogata composed the redbook audio portions of the jp soundtrack and not the past bgm, because the compositions sound nothing like the other tracks they did. i dont mean quality wise either, the music just sounds so.. different. but thanks anyways.

The sound files are in the disk, playable or rippable by a CD player or computer
