Okay, I'm REALLY stuck with them. I'd prefer not to face the first one (since I know it's a bitch even later on in the game), but I need help with the second one. I tried the lamps to slow down the wall's progress, but it doesn't help and neither does my spells. T_T I need help. Any advice?

DX? Is that a typo or a reversed angry XD?

The first one is optional for a reason but it's much easier by the time you remember it's still there and decide to go back and slaughter it. I dunno, have status immunities?

I think I was able to kill it pretty easy with quickenings.

O snap I need those. -.-;

As many characters as you can get them for without spending an unreasonable amount of time grinding. They all do the same thing.

I ran from the first one but the second one was really easy, what levels are you, the recommended level for that area is 17 I think.

If you don't yet have quickenings, I would suggest using whatever licence points available to get them, and if you need, just go back to the sandsea to get some.

In my opinion, killing the first one is worth it. For the Demonsbane's you can acquire. They are very good swords for that stage in the game.

Anyway your best bet would be to start the battle with a quickening chain and hopefully a decent concurrence. Then use physical attacks until right near the end, and bring your reserve members in to do another quickening chain, again hopefully with a concurrence.

Make sure you set your gambits to attack nearest visible, that way, if the party leader is healing or whatever, the others will still attack it.

While the Demonsbane is a great sword for this stage in the game, it is futile to get it, while you can take a tad bit of extra time and completely overpower yourself by stealing the Deathbringer early. It does take time, though, so defeating the first Demonwall could be useful. Just needed to put my two sense in this conversation.

I always make sure to prioritize armor over weapons, you'll last longer but it'll take longer based on your budget... If you wanna rush through it, you might be able to get through with spending all your money on weapons but you'll spend more time healing. It's a trade-off either way. Anyway, as soon as you appear to fight him, touch the brazier to your left to prevent him from getting closer (note that there are a brazier or two the will hasten his advance towards you) and if you want you can cast supportive spells or just go up and start hacking away at him. I recommend that you have plenty of potions/mp for cure/cura and phoenix downs/raise spell. If you have the berserk spell you could berserk Vossler. Oh and bring a lot of eye drops for his blindga spell.

This is actually really hard - I tried it on my first runthrough of the game and never got past the Ahriman in the Sochen Cave Palace.

Yeah I remember Ahriman being a real pain in my ass...

Well actually

Quickenings is the easy way out - make sure u have ur top three people with at least 2 quickenings each...Dont worry bout ur other people

Make sure u have one reserve character FULLY prepared as the boos will cast telega, banishing one character to the X zone(u cant use phoenix down obviously)

Try to use the alters of contemplation cuz they save ur ass quite a bit

Hope this helps

I didn't even notice the Altars of Contemplation the first few times I fought the Demon Walls, and I got through just fine. It's really just a matter of attacking the thing as continually as possible whilst staying alive (Berserking Vossler helps, as it will give him more attack power and not compensate a healer - he only attacks anyway).

I heard if you turn your battle speed all the way up, it will speed up the time for attacks, but the wall's movement wont change! try that =)

Man, Demon Walls. I was on my last leg and Basch and Balthier were the only two people alive. I finally pulled a quickening and they pulled a 22 chain.. enough to kill...

22 chain Quickening would be enough to fkn obliterate anything at that point...

I went lo-tech and just used some bacchus wines on Basch and Vossler...granted, Demon Wall can eject players, but just have 'em hack away...it worked for me.
