Uhm.. ofcourse one of my favs is Teknoman ^__^ and another all time fav is Neon Genesis Evangelion and I'm slowly getting into Gundam Wing ;)

My favorite anime right now is Cowboy Bebop.
My other favorites are Outlaw Star and Tenchi Muyo!

I like Rurouni Kenshin too. I also really like Vandread 1st and 2nd Stage. Evangelion is an all time favorite. I like some older anime, such as DNA^2, Ranma1/2, Urusei Yatsura, Kimagure Orange Road.

the original dragonball had 153 episodes

dbz was 291 episodes long

and dbgt was 64 episodes long

anyways, It's not very popular to say among "real" fans of anime, but DBZ is my favorite. The cell and buu sagas just had so many great fights.

any by the way, there never should have been an ssj4 power level, it just seemed so cheap.

.... only that the word "Weib" is a very unpretty version of "woman" in German and you mean the word "Wei�" which is a wonderful anime indeed... However, if you have problems typing "�", type "ss" instead, this would be correct, a "B" is just a different letter and in that exact case it changes the word's meaning so I must laugh. Kehehe.

THE LIST...

1-X/1999 and X The Movie- Simply splendid. Sieg Sakurazukamori!! Why'd they kill of Seshirou, so quickly?!

2-Shin Seiki Evangelion- Very very good. Now I just need to see EoE, and I'll be finished with my crazy Rei obsession once and for all!

3-Bubblegum Crisis(The original)- This series is one of my favs because of all the great action scenes and cute gals! ^^; Blessed be Nene, the pink-haired angel!

4-The entire UC Gundam Series- Yup, all of it! Zeta is probably my favorite though, but I doubt that will remain after seeing Char's Counter Attack. Mmmm... Eye candy. Also I really wanna see G Gundam, although it is an AU series I hear it's very good. The supposed 'Dragon Ball Gundam' if you will.

5- Mononoke Hime- Luv the animation in this sucker. I actually liked the main character more than all the others.

6- Card Captor Sakura- Sakura's cute, and I like that stoic angelic- winged guy with the white hair.

7- Samurai Troopers Yoiden- Was my first anime. Saw it when I was a wee lad of just seven. It still touches me, deep down, inside. *Sobs*

This afternoon, I might get my hand on Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals ( on VHS, though :( ) , even though I've heard it's not THAT great...And I most definitely intend on getting Record of Lodoss War : Chronicles of the Heroic Knight on DVD later this summer, because it seems even better than the OAV (which means it's going to ROCK !!! ), even though it'll cost me a bundle : around 130 $ US , and I live in Canada , so...

However, for a box set of 4 DVDs containing 27 episodes, I think it just might be worth it ;)

Oh, BTW, Akari...Not to disappoint you , but Sailor Moon's real name is Serena only in the English version...If I'm right, in the original version and the French version, her name is Bunny ( pronounced "Bunie" in French ;) ) ...:p I suppose they changed it in the English version because it sounded a bit...weird lol

Usagi, as far as I know, was her Japanese name. It means "Bunny". Doh.

Anyway. I completely forgot. Heh. Hoshin Engi/ Soul Hunter is my favourite at the moment. Countless bishies. Countless. Slayers... is very very funny.

Saiyuki features a nice cast of four not-too-bad looking men/demons/whatever. It�s also very funny... plus good music.

However, I wonder if I will like these animes after having read the mangas... which I will do.

Yes, Usagi does mean "bunny" and that is her Japanese name. Actually, Sailor Moon's full name in Japanese means "Bunny of the Moon" I believe. Many people think I'm weird cuz Sailor Moon is one of my fav anime. But so many things draw me to it like...

...The Sailor Stars. Senshi that can turn from guys to girls was a really creative touch. Their stories are really interesting too. And who CANNOT love kyoot little Chibi-Chibi?? GOSH she is soooo adorable!!! I wish I can just jump into episodes and play with her!!!

Eep! I feel your pain with the whole Sailor Moon thing. I think it is incredibly awesome! Most people who look down on it are the people who have only seen the dubbed eps from Cartoon Network. The series gets much deeper and much more meaningful while still remaining humorous and romantic. I grew to love the characters so much that:

I needed a box of tissues for the last few episodes. I mean when Uranus and Neptune were saying good-bye to each other i just starting bawling. And I cried happy tears(:)) when Usagi "saved" Galaxia! On a side note: hehe I laughed A LOT when ChibiChibi tried to pull off Seiya's towel! :D

It really is a great great show and I always recommend it. You'll laugh and cry and all that good stuff! *high five* fellow fan :D

...and theres alot of others, but The Slayers and Rurouni Kenshin are my two favorites, Record of Loddoss war is okay too, I just mostly like Deedlit though.

I kind of like the old anime such as Tekkaman Blade II (It's in Japanese but if you know where to go you can get subtitles), Tekkaman Blade I (called Tecknoman :uh?: in Australia and U.S, pretty stupid name you ask me Japanese way better), Sailor Moon (Never got to see the Japanese series:( , with the Outer Scouts in action, go Sailor Saturn, Mars, Venus, Jupiter and Chibi Moon/Rini:) ), I also liked Dragonball.

Forgot the oldest one of all Samuri Pizza Cats. Favourite cats are Speedy and Francine

KENSHIN! Nothing rocks the house like that one, it's so beautifully layed out, the story, and the characters are awesome.. it's the best!

Hmmm....favorite anime....I'd have to say:

Battle Athletes- I dont know why. I just like it. It's kinda corny but cute at the same time. Plus Miranda kicks ass.

Evangelion- Kaji is cute.

Ruroni Kenshin- Kenshin is cute.

Fushigi Yuugi- It makes me want to cry and slaughter Miaka. Why is she soo stupid?! >_< <-----constipated face.

Ranma 1/2- Its so retarded I have to love it.

Golden boy- Same as above x100.

Cow boy bebop- totaly kicks ass. humor and seriousness balanced out pretty well.

Inu yasha- its just cool, plus they have a guy with dog ears. Damn I love them ears.

Hands down goes to INUYASHA. I LOVE INUYASHA! :D

Naruto is absolutely awesome, one of the very few animes that actually follow the original manga's storyline, and that's worth a lot since the manga Naruto is such a great loveable series.

You can't beat it for depth of story, interesting character arcs, and confusing the hell out of you.

Also, a couple of movies that I really like:

Spirited Away: Interesting character driven piece in a world that is both frightening and beautiful at once. A masterpiece.

Metropolis: Maybe I only like this because I saw the premiere at the cinemas, but it caught my heart then - a tragic love story, a political thriller and a moralistic drama all in one.

Cowboy Bebop has to be my favorite. Spike is the a bad ass dude. He knows all those fighting techniques and he's pretty ballsy too. I also like DBZ,Inuyasha,Vampire Hunter:Robin,and pretty much any other manga you can name that has a lot of battles in it.

My favorites are:

Neon Genesis Evangelion (an untoppable masterpiece; the FF7 of all anime)
Fooly Coolly (another great Gainax series:D ;weird but ultimately cool)
His and Her Circumstances (Gainax again! It's psycological, funny, and romantic.)

Samuari X blew me away. I've been waiting to watch it for five years--DVD's were really espensive-- and my waiting has paid off. (tee-hee)

ummmmmm....hmmm...*thinks thinks thinks*... imma big big fan of anime but.. somehow i havent really gotten the chance to watch alot of them lol.. i've watched ...initial D, KYO, some episodes of neo evangelion, some parts of escaflowne, and dont forget DBZ too lol hahah..errrr..and some others (forgotten the titles) lol... OH yEAH and Berzerk (awesome movie) they are all very good movies. right now im currently watching Naruto and so far im hooked on it lol very nice anime.:)

I recon the "Guyver series" is really underrated. I know its quite an old series but i still watch my favourite episodes.

Yes, I do agree that Guyver is a very good series. Though I haven't seen it in a while, it was one of ythe first anime that I had ever seen. I think I was only about 6, maybe 7. But good none the less.

Ultra maniac is the best anime ever! It has everything on it...comedy, drama, romance, magic, schoolkids. I've cried and laughed when wathinc this.

Another good ones are onegai twins, da capo, kanon maburaho etc. They are pretty much same as ultra maniac. I love it!

How can you expect me to pick a favorite,I love them all. I mean there's Inuyasha,Kenshin,DBZ,Tri-gun,Sailor Moon,Hakusho,Be-Bop,Case Closed,Robin,Wolf Rain,.Hack. I could go on forever naming them. I can't pick just one though,I mean their all great shows,and they all have a hottie on them,especially Trunks(DBZ). :love: :D

I can only be saddened by the fact that no one around here seems to know of the genius that is Captain Harlock. It might not be a mainstream show stateside, but Harlock has never been one of these cookie-cutter template characters you see in almost everything else. And with a brilliant director like Rintaro, it's a masterpiece.

And for all the newer anime watchers out there, Don't sing Akira's praises too loudly. After more than a decade of watching anime, it's easy to see the movie was a joke; a pale shadow of the original concept. It might've been flashy and violent enough for dbz fans, but there's much better stuff out there if you have more discerning tastes.

I've known about Harlock for some time,and I'm sure many others here do to. But it's not my favorite anime series, as cool as it may be.

And the Akira movie is a great film. A fine retelling of the story fit for a 2 hour format, and certainly not a flashy violent show for DBZ fans. I was reading the comic around the time I first saw the film a long time ago, and back then I thought it wasn't that good since so much of the comic had been changed,... but the movie is not the comic. A lot of the characters roles were changed completely as well as the basic scenario, and the new telling in the movie is very well done, albeit drastically different than the comic.

After reading all of those favs, I must find out why! My favs are:
1. Zenki (ever heard of this series, my first and been hook on ever since)
2. Slayers (so funny and original)
3. Saiyuki (good book, so is the anime)
4. Fruits Basket (learn about life with comedy)
5. Any one of Hayao Miyazaki film (check some of these films out)

Chobits is a good series mainly because of the perverted situation that the two main characters goes through! Beside the perverted thing, there is also a good storyline underneath it and some mysterious stuff too! Enjoy it, cause I did (but you don't really have to if you don't want)

Your best bet if you want to see Trigun is with the region 0 import version. To find that, just search for the Trigun Perfect Collection. It usually runs about $30 or so.

Be sure you pay attention to the shipping costs. International shipping can be a pretty hard knock sometimes.

Like Yengun said, there's a decent amount of perverted humor on Chobits, but it's nothing gross, and it's not the focus of the story.

To give you a brief idea of the storyline, android like things called Persocoms have become really popular- almost everyone owns one. The main character, Hideki, finds an abandoned one on the street and takes her in, but she's not an ordinary persocom.

It starts out pretty lighthearted and silly, but it gets a lot more serious as the story progresses. It's probably my favorite manga of all time, and one of my favorite animes.

Plus, Chii is the cutest thing in thw whole wide world. ; ;

ive only seen the first three epis. of that....they have the phase 3 out...but not phase 2(which is really annoying!)
