I am looking for a recomendation for Western soundtracks.

I am looking for something very specific.

1. It must have limited orchestration.
2. It must have romantic themes.
3. It must have lonely themes.

Any opinions?

Thank you for your input,
JonC

I've been downloading alot of western music recently actually.

you'll never go wrong with ennio morriccone's work in the westerns.
they're the best actually, imo.

also, hugo montenegro does alot of covers of westerns with a nice funk beat to it.

a nice solid soundtrack would be "hugo montenegro and his orchestra and Chorus presents title music from 'the good the bad and the ugly', 'for a few dollars more' and 'a fist full of dollars' "

One of my fav western scores is Quigley Down Under by Basil Poledouris. It's def got romantic, a couple cues might qualify as lonely, but for the most part I doubt the overall orchestrations would be considered "limited".
I also really like the Red Dead Redemption game score, which has more spare tracks evocative of Ennio's spaghetti westerns & can be found on Spotify.
Also check out 3:10 to Yuma by Marco Beltrami.

Thank you for the suggestions. I found something (http://youtu.be/VfcfQTyo-HU) that worked okay.
