With the summer drawing closer and exams ending soon im looking to actually get some use out of my poor neglected wii. I played a bit of Zelda and got fed up. Guitar hero 3 lasted a few days but its more the kind of game that requires a few people to make it fun. Well we have Donkey Kong Jet Race too but I cant see me lasting too long with that either.

So what are your favourite wii games and is there any that I should really get to try and change my negative views of the wii so far.

Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Super Smash Bros. Brawl should especially remedy your disgruntled viewpoint of the Wii. There's tons of challenges to keep you preoccupied in single-player mode for approximately a month or so, and then the multiplayer's replay value is everlasting. Super Smash Bros. Melee kept me hooked for seven years alone with it's multiplayer.

I can not recommend this game enough. It is a truly underappreciated gem. The graphics are clean and the controls are FLAWLESS. It is incredibly fun (and difficult) to maneuver your marble through the many worlds. It's like Super Monkeyball...only instead of controlling the ball, you are controlling the entire world with the Wii-mote. You tilt the stage in every direction...turning walls into floors and floors into ceilings. Everything moves 360 degrees and some of the levels are just crazy. It has 60 stages including the unlockables, so there is plenty to keep you busy. At the very least give it a rental...You won't regret it.

Hmm ill take it on board. I have been thinking about getting mario galaxy. It doesnt look too bad....

oh yeah lol...I assumed every Wii owner had Mario Galaxy. Get it first..and rent marble mania ;)

Some games for my Nintendo Wii that I have quite enjoyed:

-Trauma Center (I want the second one but no monies ; ; )
-Marvel Ultimate Alliance - not the best game ever but it's a fun co-op beat 'em up and that's all I wanted and it rocks at that
-Brawl
-Resident Evil 4 Wii edition is the best rendition of the game yet
-Sonic and the Secret Rings isn't great but it is certainly not the worst game ever and I personally found it pretty fun after a bit, though also frustrating... when it works it rocks
-Super Mario Galaxy
-Zelda
-Metroid Prime 3 was awesome
-Zack and Wiki... though I beat it in a week and then returned it (used game policy abusing LOL). Still really fucking awesome, though.

also, if you didn't have a gamecube, which I didn't, I picked up Eternal Darkness and Windwaker, both of which are really really good.

I second the recommendation for Wind Waker. I thought it was amazing...far better than Twilight Princess.

there are so many recommendable wii games.

I would recommend Gamecube games if you haven't played them. Resident Evil 0 & 1, Zelda Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Rogue Squadron and others I can't remember right now are great to play alone.
