Nice lily, are you planning to add colour to it? Either way it looks nice with or without colour =p

Well I drew lightly on it with a mahogany coloured pencil. But I don't think I'd colour this one in. If I attempt to draw another lily (or flower) I'd think about doing so.

I was never really that great when it comes to the whole colouring/painting aspect. =/

It'd be really awesome if I could! I haven't really practiced drawing people, so in turn, I'm not the best at it at all. I mean I could certainly try but I get frustrated easily and can't promise sucess. The closest I ever got to drawing people was this:

Fire orgy?

Just kidding, It looks nice, but because of the fact that there's no coloring, you can't really tell where they are. Are they in a field of long grass, in flames, or being caressed by the wind?

The heads look a bit odd too. You have the proportions right on everything, but something seems odd with the heads.

It's supposed to be fire. I don't colour in my sketches. Rarely do I ever.

I've had a few of my friends give me tips on how to draw people ~ but I haven't practiced it enough.

So it is a fire orgy!

I'm certainly going to try. In fact, now with spring break coming up I'm going to take some money I saved up and buy some charcoal pencils and a big sketch/drawing pad to use.

It took me about 15 minutes... sucks ass because I couldn't get the fucking arms right.

I also planned to have the severed hand on the ground clutching an assault rifle, but it was looking like ass from the get-go.

Those are grenades on his chest, ftr.

Hell, that's better than I would ever do. I like it though - maybe you should start thinking of a few ideas and draw comics. The drawing looks like a comic book character anyways.

I'd thought about drawing a comic but the stories I come up with, shouldn't be put into comics. I'm actually going to upload a short story I wrote a few years ago when I get the chance.

And yeah, I tend to stray away from realism because that's too restricting. If you make them cartoony it gives you an excuse to make your character not have correct proportions! :)

Well, I didn't want to show it all off at once. It's just that I haven't sketched a lot and it's been awhile since I have done anything new ... so I don't have a lot uploaded.

Heres a lighthouse I tried drawing, but didn't finish, cos I got frustrated with it.

May I ask why you got frustrated with it?

I got frustrated because I didn't know how to draw a lighthouse. I tried doing it without looking at anything and then I realized I didn't really know what a lighthouse ... like looked like to draw it properly.
Also, I'm not some like ZOMG ARTIST so I'm not great at landscapes either ; ; I need a lot more practice to start drawing better.

I think you need to find yourself a style, first. I find it easier to draw since I stick to a more cartoony type style, rather than this one be realistic, this one be surreal, and this one be abstract. Ya know?

Even still, you're quite good. I attempted drawing a lily the other day and I damn near cursed at it for not looking like a flower. Looked more like a banana peel...

I mean, I don't think I would want to stick to a specific style or just concentrate on one. I get frustrated, but I don't give up. I am going to attempt it another time, maybe even now when I have break next week.

Nice job, though the only problem I have with it is the index finger is a bit long and the middle finger looks a bit thin.

Here is another one - a bit different from the others. I started off trying to draw Angelina Jolie but upon realizing that I haven't really studied (or practiced) enough face drawing, got very frustrated, and spawned into this. I like it personally and t's one of my favorites:

I see big apple... or regular apple and small hands. For some reason the apple is covered in ivy.

Perhaps it's viewed through the eyes of Poison Ivy, the infamous Batman villain?!
