I don't know how many of you here watch the hit USA TV series "Monk", but it's been my favorite show for the last few years, and I'm honestly gonna miss seeing this guy. One of the best "shrink" roles ever. But that's not the least of my worries, not by a long shot.
First of all, at least it wasn't one of the other main four as his is more minor and the rest are actually needed in every episode. But, his character is important to the series as he's like Monk's sanity island, and we keep seeing him every 3. I just hope this doesn't get the series canceled, they could write his character out like they did before, or kill him, or (God forbid) get a different actor. Writing him out wouldn't be as simple as doing that with his assistant for a number of reasons.

Hell, the series was signed on for another season to start in July, wonder if they started filming with him. And if they didn't, hope this doesn't cancel it. Damn, just when the writers strike ends something like this has to happen.

RIP

It's too bad about that. It seemed as though he was a decent guy.

He's being replaced by Hector Elizondo, apparently.

I think it sucks that he died of a(n) hart attack! :(

It makes me wonder if there going to replace him or not have a shrink in the show? It makes you wonder!?!

I absolutely love "Monk". The episodes are really great and he was a very good actor. He will always be Monk for me, I don't know how any actor can replace him :(

Yet another sad loss in a year plagued by death and change.
We all knew going into this year that the landscape of Earth was going to be changed forever.
1: Bush finally leaving office (Sorry Mr. Gore, you deserved to be there instead).
2: Prime Minister Tony Blair gone from England.
3: John Howard finally losing his position as Australian Prime minister, I could not be happier about this one as I live in Melbourne, Australia.
4: A controversial Olympics in Beijing
5: The world oil shortage crisis.
6: The global warming crisis. (Droughts, Floods and the like)
7: The general deterioration of societies worldwide.
and a myriad of other multifaceted issues I won't get into here. (Believe me, I could rant for hours on end)
Unfortunately though 2008 still has a little under 6 months left to run its course, we are all in an age of uncertainty, with no idea of what is yet to come.
Good luck to us all.
I mean that sincerely.
